Good idea.

This is the link to the original judgment. Although it says press summary, the full judgment is also there.

I am just at the point of feeling white-hot anger for CA. I need to stop looking at their page - such stupid, self-righteous, sanctimonious fools.

MissHavishamsleftdaffodil · 08/07/2017 23:04

I believe from what I've read that the MRI report that CA have shared references that 'nothing has changed' from a previous scan - so no need to reiterate any information about issues mentioned on a previous scan, which has not been shared (that's leaving aside the whole ethics of sharing a child's very personal medical information openly on social media) - and the damage shows at a cellular level on eegs along with his frequent seizure activity, rather than on an MRI. This surely must have been explained by GOSH professionals to family members.

Devonishome1 · 08/07/2017 23:05

The new photos of Charlie are shocking,he's become so bloated. I don't know why that is.

MusicForTheJiltedGeneration · 08/07/2017 23:06

@spiney

I think it's the mother who is contradicting herself. If she does not believe Charlie feels pain then why is this in the court ruling (part of my above post):

"Certainly, the view of his parents is that he is reactive to things that he does not like such as a heel prick or having his nose suctioned."

Surely that indicates he is feeling pain, or at the very least serious discomfort? Why else would he react to unpleasant procedures?

I'm not sure if the parents were trying to say they think his brain isn't as damaged as GOSH say. It does seem to back up what the doctors say though about it being likely he is feeling pain if he's "reactive" to those procedures.

The thing is, nobody really knows Sad I hope for his sake he isn't feeling pain from the interventions, seizures and failing organs.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 08/07/2017 23:07

According to them it's cause he's a chunk monkey..That's what's worrying none of them can see that ain't right..or it just isn't getting posted

MrGrumpy01 · 08/07/2017 23:08

I have just read the comments on FB under a news report. Goodness they are a mixture of vile and deluded/misinformed. Again saying there is no brain damage. And as he isn't on pain relief he can't be in pain.

Anyone who says that Charlie should be allowed to go in peace gets attacked.

LovelyBath77 · 08/07/2017 23:08

Yes, what is the swelling from? Is it from organ failure?

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 08/07/2017 23:09

They're apparently handing in a period to the hospital timorrowHmm.

Don't they realise it's the court which decides, not the Drs?

It's all just so ridiculous now. I feel desperately sorry for those Drs and nurses and all the staff, the working environment must be horrendous for them.

Ellie56 · 08/07/2017 23:10

Someone said on the last thread that the swelling could be from heart or kidney failure.

LovelyBath77 · 08/07/2017 23:12

But if scans show such damage to internal organs surely that means further experimental treatment futile?

HouseOfMouse · 08/07/2017 23:14

The judgment is also very clear that, even if the experimental treatment could cross the blood/brain barrier, it could not reverse the damage already sustained.

SouthWestmom · 08/07/2017 23:15

I think this is one of those cases where hindsight is going to be a wonderful thing.

I think it may also shed light on the length of decision making and communication and something good may come out of it.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 08/07/2017 23:15

Also don't get why everything is a conspiracy!! He wasn't allowed it..cause something to hide..the scans..conspiracy..if there is a post mortem..conspiracy.. Mean really?! Do they think like this in real life or just face book

MusicForTheJiltedGeneration · 08/07/2017 23:18

They're apparently handing in a period to the hospital tomorrow

I'm hoping that's an autocorrect fail and you mean petition?!

Then again, nothing would surprise me with CA and their pro-life Pastor pal ...

Ellie56 · 08/07/2017 23:19

I would think there would be even more medical evidence now to show the treatment would not be in Charlie's best interests.

Ellie56 · 08/07/2017 23:25

What is the petition about? Hmm Confused

MumIsRunningAMarathon · 08/07/2017 23:27

Who is the other hanger on in the pics.... one is the rev

How are they even allowed in?

Stopnamechanging · 08/07/2017 23:28

Hello friends, I have been out for a few hours. Did the protest go ahead at GOSH today does anyone know?
My blood pressure can't take going on to the CA page at the moment to check.

Kpo58 · 08/07/2017 23:30

Also don't get why everything is a conspiracy!!
Probably because the are poorly educated with no or poor jobs thinking that the government and others in authority are hiding stuff from them so that they stay at the low end of society cos it can never be their own fault.

I do hope that it is a very short court case on Monday for Charlie's sake and that the stance in law hasn't changed.

PickAChew · 08/07/2017 23:31

The whole situation is just bloody ridiculous. Poor Charlie loks horrendous :(

As an aside, I passed through Blackhall Rocks on mine and DS1's regular Saturday bus bash, today - e were avoiding Durham at all costsdue to the Big Meeting. I was half expecting a "shrine" to Bradley with piles of cellophane with flowers in there somewhere, but was surprised not to see anything of the sort. A couple of houses had pale blue balloons in the front garden, clearly linked to the blue hearts, but that was it, really. I was expecting more, given the public nature of Bradley's last few months and weeks.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 08/07/2017 23:32

The 'here I am' comment from the Pastor seems so odd. Why did there need to be a photo? Easily could've stayed a private moment but nope photo op..

MirandaWest · 08/07/2017 23:35

Protest at GOSH due tomorrow I think.

MrGrumpy01 · 08/07/2017 23:35

pick I think the family have asked for no balloon releases as well.

MirandaWest · 08/07/2017 23:35

Who takes the photos I wonder?
