Well done Fam!
Just read the other 3 threads (gripped!) and I'm so proud of you. I loathe people like this. It's one thing to ask for cheeky favours, but it's s whole level of batshit to go mad at someone for not agreeing to do something that you were not asked about nor agreed to in the first place! Epic batshit and my advice would be to consider a fallout with them to be a lucky escape. Well done you Grin

Leeds2 · 04/07/2017 18:40

And make sure you don't open the door on the Monday. No matter how hard she knocks.

AmserGwin · 04/07/2017 18:41

I'm hoping you see her tomorrow (sorry op) Grin

dustarr73 · 04/07/2017 18:42

I would be heading to your sisters on the Sunday.you shouldnt need to dodge her but why make your life more difficult.

MimsyFluff · 04/07/2017 18:45

If she knocks on your door I wouldn't answer you have nothing to say to her and she'll only verbally abuse you!

YouTheCat · 04/07/2017 18:46

Give your neighbours the headsup so they can make themselves comfortable for the show. Grin

Serialweightwatcher · 04/07/2017 18:47

Redsippycup - I have asked on mumsnet before but nobody answered me Sad - how do you 'name' a link please?

Clutterbugsmum · 04/07/2017 18:47

All I can think is thank god you don't WORK with her I bet she joy in the office.

Cagliostro · 04/07/2017 18:48

Wow she is beyond shameless

Wumpychoo · 04/07/2017 18:50

@Elephant17
This really made me laugh on the previous thread. Grin

"I'm actually at the stage of wanting to personally fight this woman, and I am a major confrontation wimp."

TwoLeftSocks · 04/07/2017 18:52

You should paint a target on your doorstep.

yomellamoHelly · 04/07/2017 18:52

If your SIL is still there when she knocks you could ask her to the door to meet the cheeky * who thought you should provide free childcare so they could go to Disneyworld. And then thank her for all the laughs you've both has as you filled your SIL on her shenanigans before shutting the door on her.

Cary2012 · 04/07/2017 18:53

I have been following all the threads etc and posted on a couple whilst WORKING! I mean MARKING, cos I bring my WORK home with me, and really have to say that this daft mare doesn't have a childcare issue at all, they are surely old enough to have a lie in, get their own food and look after themselves for a few hours.

I feel for you OP, but my real sympathy is for her kids, having a mum who thinks they need babysitting, getting them up really early on their holidays and now trying to 'dump' them on unsuspecting fellow mums.

RaspberryOverloadsOnIcepops · 04/07/2017 18:53

I wouldn't be surprised if she does decide to drop and run on Monday. She's seriously convinced you owe her some childcare.

PoorYorick · 04/07/2017 18:54

Hair extensions are expensive. She could get a week of holiday club for the cost of those...

juneau · 04/07/2017 18:57

It strikes me that she feels that if she's working she should be getting some benefit from it (i.e. hair extensions, fancy holidays), rather than paying for something mundane like holiday childcare, when random others could provide it for free and SHOULD do so, because OMG, SHE'S WORKING!!!!

Spadequeen · 04/07/2017 18:58

Yay. Another thread!

Stay strong Fam, not your kids, not your problem. She has to join the rest of us and sort out paid for childcare, welcome to the world of parenting.

May I suggest you put a sign on your door on the Sunday night. Saying crazy lady, don't even think of knocking, I am not available for childcare!

ItsNachoCheese · 04/07/2017 18:59

Ahh shes the cray cray WORKzilla that keeps giving 😂

PollytheDolly · 04/07/2017 19:00

Hi Fam
So glad you stuck around, what with zilla, troll hunters, MNHQ being a bit, y'know, but they've redeemed themselves.

So, this is going to be an ongoing saga for a bit and you have us behind you. (She ain't going to go quietly I think)

I know we aren't RL, but we are sort of. We are all real people behind the keyboards and most of us have experience of a zilla in one form or another.

Spookle · 04/07/2017 19:00

Glad to see you have been reinstated Fam, these threads have been wonderful and the stories shared horrendous!

My tip..

Keep a can of veg soup and a bucket by the front door. If she turns up decant soup into bucket and answer the door holding it. Watch her face turn white.

BewareOfDragons · 04/07/2017 19:02

She can afford hair extensions but not childcare. Right then!

I'm telling you. post the Mumsnet link on FB for all your friends!

viques · 04/07/2017 19:10

mikeysister WORK only deserves capitals if it is proper WORK, being a sahm, or a volunteer, or a carer is not "proper" work so needs to be demoted, possibly to the status of casual labour, a hobby or play.......

Msqueen33 · 04/07/2017 19:19

She sounds hard faced, entitled and loopy.

StormTreader · 04/07/2017 19:20

Shes scoping out your living room for signs of going on holiday, lay out a few big suitcases where you can see them through the window. Grin

mcdog · 04/07/2017 19:21

This is the best thread ever......
