Fantastic update OP. I hope your son if feeling better soon. WORKzilla is not going to give up, I really hate people who can't accept the blame and everything is someone else's fault.

I've read both threads and I am in awe not in a good way of the set of massive balls on this woman! Imagine showing up on someone's doorstep, having a fit and threatening SS and saying you're ruining their Disney holiday!! As if it's your fault they didn't budget for childcare that I don't see the urgent need for with kids of her age

It might not be over in her mind, and she might try to corner you tomorrow about it, she might even rant and rave to other parents, but what can she actually DO? Nothing. She can't make you take her kids.

I think all this has helped you be stronger OP. You make it over, she is a joke and as such should just be laughed at. Every interaction just laugh at her. You will get a bill for her shoes next.

I really can't imagine why she would want to send her DC to a family who clearly don't want them.

Even if she does seem to understand in the end is there any way you could be away for that first Monday morning? On the one hand it seems a tad pathetic to suggest running away, but I really would want to have some distance between us in your shoes.
