To ask what your weight, height and dress size are?

I've seen loads of threads on here lately with people questioning how people can be a certain dress size at a certain weight.

I'm really interested to se how much it can vary from person to person and if people who are the same weight and height could be completely different dress sizes as I suppose muscle mass is a factor too.

Anyway, I'm rambling.

I'll start it off:

Height: 5ft 4.5
Weight: 8 stone 12 lbs
Dress Size: 10

Dress size? Currently wearing an AGE 12-14 kids top from H&M and a pair of shorts I've had since I was 16, the size has rubbed off.... I've definitely got some size 8s that fit, and definitely got some size 16-18s that fit, and everything in between. Most of my bras are a 30 inch back but I am considered tall and heavy amongst my friends who are all 5 feet or so and slim.

I don't have a size, I just have clothes.

4 yrs ago I weighed 11 stone and was a size 14, I lost 1 stone and then started exercising a lot and still do quite a bit, I've gained the weight back but not the dress size or the inches tbf.

It's a great example of how womens body weight is distrubted differently for every women. (Much like every human!)

You really cannot rely on the weight and height and dress size of other women to compare youself to. And, frankly, why should you? Does it matter?

I'm not saying it's not interesting though!

But the most obvious factor is where they routinely shop

Dress size is arbitrary. I'm a 4 is some shops, a 10 in others. Or even different sizes in the same shop.

Lest us not forget, that you can pick up 3 of the same item (yes DP I'm looking at you) and find that some of them have a differnce of an 1" on waist. Same style, same size.

Body shape has a lot to do with it. I have a thick waist so could never get in anything smaller than a 10, but no bum so clothes sag round there. I also have quite big boobs but very thin arms and legs. Someone the same height and weight as me could have a much slimmer waist but bigger bum, for example.
