To fuck OFF.

Many examples recently of people appointing themselves thread curator and being rude, annoying and pointy finger ish to other posters who disagree with them.

It annoys me more than it should.

I can't be fussed with C&P chunks of other people's posts then picking them to bits. What the hell's wrong with you? Picking posts to bits seems to be the raison d'etre of most people on MN.

I know derxa. Grin It's like being interrogated sometimes.

Sparklingbrook · 24/06/2017 18:43

I tend to reply to the poster IYKWIM. So bold their name. Like I did to derxa just.

Nothing worse than a controversial thread on which you spend ages C&P different posters' arguments and building a beautifully elaborate response, only to go to post it and find the whole thread's gone pooft. Angry

Lweji · 24/06/2017 18:48

But, like in this thread, if you only bold the NN and then add a short comment (such as, "you're right as usual") how will I know which of my various posts did it refer to? I'll just have to assume it's all of them. Wink

RaspberryBeretHoopla · 24/06/2017 18:51

Ahem, Lweji this thread is finished. You can stop posting now.

SmileEachDay · 24/06/2017 18:52

Raspberry you're the one keeping it going.

OP posts:
Lweji · 24/06/2017 18:53

No, it's not.

YesMadamDeputySpeaker · 24/06/2017 18:55

Now now, lads!

RaspberryBeretHoopla · 24/06/2017 18:55

No, I'm just posting because you lot keep posting.

I love the deletion notice "it turned into a bit of a bunfight" AKA there were death threats and posters had drawn their Kalashnikovs in a standoff"

SmileEachDay · 24/06/2017 18:56

Stop trying to silence debate Madam

OP posts:
Lweji · 24/06/2017 18:57

It's not serious unless there are defenestrations.

(it's a Trump thread thing)

RaspberryBeretHoopla · 24/06/2017 18:57

I meant this thread is like Insurgency. Not like an insurgence. Joke fail. I know no one cares.

YesMadamDeputySpeaker · 24/06/2017 18:58

Who can we defenestrate?

Winnie! Do folks still ask after the phantom Winnie?

Lweji · 24/06/2017 19:01

The oversharing thread is developing nicely

MusicToMyEars800 · 24/06/2017 19:02

Sparkling Is that the thread about the Husband who came home drunk and the OP, said he ruined their trip out and that their dd had been upset by it all?

RaspberryBeretHoopla · 24/06/2017 19:02

Sorrry. Sorry sorry.

Back to INSURGENCY.

RaspberryBeretHoopla · 24/06/2017 19:03

Oh yes, drunk husband. Do tell.

littlebird77 · 24/06/2017 19:03

I started a thread a few nights ago, as I'd had a fall and had hurt my head and thought I might have a broken arm (I did).

I had called 111 for advice, and they suggested I might need to be admitted (I was waiting for them to call me back). I was worried, because I had absolutely no way of getting to the hospital, so started a thread to get some advice and because I just needed a chat with someone. Next thing, a couple of posters are on the thread doing the pathetic 'popcorn' posts.

I always used to scoff at those who went on about Mumsnet having gone downhill, but I have to say that I agree with them these days.
