Lovely cool breeze, nice comforting grey sky...

No legs sticking together / to chairs, no lack of air con at causing misery, no cats in a mood so foul even dreamies cannot mend... I know The Heat will be back. But thank god its gone for now!

Central Scotland here, where it's been cooler than down south. Hovering around low twenties, but very humid. I've been in agony with my arthritis and struggling with breathing/sweating because of my lung problems. The commute has been horrible. But I must be thankful for fans and fridges. Bloody hell!

MrsDoylesTeaParty · 22/06/2017 09:59

Yorkshire is heavenly for the forseeable- we can breathe again!

We have thunder in West Norfolk ! Can feel the atmosphere lightening already .

SockEatingMonster · 22/06/2017 10:03

22 degrees here, slightly cloudy with a light breeze. Lovely!

Unfortunately our house seems to have been purposefully designed to retain heat in the summer and hemorrhage heat in the winter. Despite having windows open and fans in front of north-facing windows since 5:30am, the house is still 26.5 degrees downstairs and fecking 30.0 degrees upstairs. The 1970s have a lot to answer for...

Lovelise · 22/06/2017 10:03

Now it's cooler my 4 week old baby is happily napping in his Moses basket.

I like the summer but it's not fun with a clingy newborn!

I felt so sorry for the little man!

AceholeRimmer · 22/06/2017 10:03

Most of us heat moaners don't moan in the colder months when everyone else is moaning! Infact I would say we are the more positive bunch as we find happiness in grey skies Wink
I love sunny dry days though, just not the heat.

SockEatingMonster · 22/06/2017 10:04

Oooo, we're south Norfolk/north Suffolk plominoagain. No sign of thunder here yet...

GinGeum · 22/06/2017 10:10

I just got caught in a very brief thunderstorm on the dog walk (Herts). It was lovely. I did have the sinking feeling of 'oh that's all the good weather over for the year then' but I'm hoping we get more warm weather. I've enjoyed the last week, but I must admit I do spend most of my days wafting about, and we have a pool to cool off in.

I have felt a lot of sympathy for those commuting/in warm jobs.

ScrambledSmegs · 22/06/2017 10:11

Aw, I miss the sun. We had the briefest downpour this morning and it's now just a bit gloomy. Where's the rain we were promised?!

DiseasesOfTheSheep · 22/06/2017 10:15

Delightfully grey and breezy in South Cambs Grin

BobbinThreadbare123 · 22/06/2017 10:25

S Cumbria here. It's very windy, muggy and did get quite chilly this morning with some rain but it looks like the Sun is coming out. Very hazy. It was completely misty early this morning. I am stuck in my office all day anyway.

NotAPuffin · 22/06/2017 10:26

AguacateMaduro North Leinster. 15 degrees now : )

SapphireStrange · 22/06/2017 10:29

nice comforting grey sky

Spoken like a true Brit. Grin

It IS better. I love sunny warm weather, don't get me wrong, but the past few days have been almost unbearable in London. Thank God I work at home so have been largely able to stay in and cower away from it, but it has still made me sluggish and buggered about with my concentration.

YouveCatToBeKittenMe · 22/06/2017 10:38

I love the heat I'd like it hot like this all year
I'd move to Australia but no one would come with me and I'd worry my dogs
would be eaten by crocodiles

Floggingmolly · 22/06/2017 10:42

I do have other things to worry about, like most people, Helsinki. I just function better and deal with things better when I'm not feeling ill from 34° heat. Don't be so fecking grumpy.
I listen to people whinging all winter long about the cold and the rain, while I'm revelling in it. Each to their own.

superfluffyanimal · 22/06/2017 10:42

I love that its cooler, it was 31c inside my house at 6pm yesterday.

SinglePringle · 22/06/2017 10:45

Christ, that screenshot of Yorkshire is bloody miserable.

Come one Sunshine!!!

StarsAndStripes18 · 22/06/2017 10:49

13 degrees here in Northern Ireland at the moment and I'm cold Sad

Lovelise, that brings back memories.
When my oldest was born it was one of our hottest summers and he spent weeks in just a nappy and maybe a vest added on the slightly cooler days.. miss those days Star

furrymuff · 22/06/2017 11:03

I can say with some confidence that we are bound to get some rain any day now. I know this because I am off to Glastonbury this morning and have just made an executive decision not to take any wellies Grin

Dawndonnaagain · 22/06/2017 11:05

It's grey and rumbling on the borders now Sock!

Zoflorabore · 22/06/2017 11:06

Pissing down in LiverpoolGrin

Groupie123 · 22/06/2017 11:10

It's still pretty humid here. Can't wait for snow!

HunterofStars · 22/06/2017 11:12

Slightly cooler here in Gloucestershire. I must admit it was nice waking up with my bedroom feeling cooler rather than a sauna.

Fontella · 22/06/2017 11:18

Yep!

I'm on the coast and it's been baking here for days. I've never had so many cold showers and drunk pints of iced water.

Woke up this morning to overcast skies and a lovely cool breeze. Bliss!

I would be absolute shit living in a hot climate. I'm a proper Brit - bit of rain, not too hot - that's how I like it!

Spudlet · 22/06/2017 11:28

We had a little thundery shower earlier, and now it's much nicer here. There's a cool breeze and no glare.

Happy for anyone who enjoyed the heat, but I was not one of them!
