Lovely cool breeze, nice comforting grey sky...

No legs sticking together / to chairs, no lack of air con at causing misery, no cats in a mood so foul even dreamies cannot mend... I know The Heat will be back. But thank god its gone for now!

Grey skies and rain where I am but still quite humid, praying for thunder and lightning to clear it up.

Yukbuck · 22/06/2017 09:15

I'm gutted! I mean, it was very hot but it's not as if it happens often. Us British people just love to moan. Snow, rain, too hot..everything is a moan! We should just appreciate that we get a wide range of weathers.

Dress appropriately, freeze water overnight and keep cool where possible. It's not as if it's going to last.
Having said that, I'm not saying I would want 33 every day 😂 but it would be nice for it to gradually get cooler instead of dropping over 10 degrees overnight!

WoofWoofMooWoof · 22/06/2017 09:15

The people I've felt most sorry for in this weather is the poor guys doing road resurfacing - imagine working with boiling, steaming hot, stinking tar, in the full sun dressed in protective gear. Ugh.

NotAPuffin · 22/06/2017 09:16

I'm in Ireland; it was 16 degrees when we left the house this morning and there was a lovely soft misty drizzle falling. I love that : ) I'm a redhead with very sun-sensitive skin so I've been hiding indoors for the last 10 days or so.

SinglePringle · 22/06/2017 09:18

Wow! An entire week out of 52 and we should count ourselves lucky Grin

I've been commuting into central London on the tubes and buses etc. I just set off slightly earlier / move more slowly.

Been sleeping like a log n'all.

Dawndonnaagain · 22/06/2017 09:18

We're on a weather warning for storms here. Currently though, warm and sunny.

ToothFairiesHaveNoChange · 22/06/2017 09:18

I'm in Scotland and would love weeks of Sun. Anyone fancy a house swap? Wink

Actually I don't moan all of winter and autumn and spring and most of summer when everyone else is complaining it's too cold/rainy/windy :)

I sweat buckets literally just walking around my flat. Some of us can't cope with it!

HumpHumpWhale · 22/06/2017 09:23

I'm thrilled. My 1yo got heat rash on the back of her neck and under her hair - I think from napping in the buggy with the non-breathable liner (must sort that) & has been scratching it non stop. Like she wasn't a bad enough sleeper already! And my 3 year old has been SO GRUMPY. I don't begrudge those who like heat their enjoyment but when it's over 30 degrees wtf do you do with small kids in London? Plus I'm just so tired anyway, with two crap sleepers it's been years, and sweating at 3am just feels like adding insult to injury.

iseenodust · 22/06/2017 09:26

Feeling completely ripped off as woke in the night to thunder & lightening but the rain never got this far into Yorkshire Envy.

HelsinkiHome · 22/06/2017 09:26

Look, crying over the weather must mean you're pretty lucky not to have real problems in you life.

I'm sick of hearing people moan. Just get on with it. Be thankful you've got running water and electricity for your fridges and fans. Stop being so precious.

HelloSunshine11 · 22/06/2017 09:26

I feel like a new woman today. I've slept, my absolutely AWFUL hayfever has abated, it was easy to chose what to wear for work... happy happy.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 22/06/2017 09:29

SorrelForbes · 22/06/2017 09:30

Grey and humid here in Hants.

paxillin · 22/06/2017 09:32

Dress appropriately

Grin I can't. I'd be arrested if I dressed appropriately for 34 degrees!

Oliversmumsarmy · 22/06/2017 09:35

It can rain today because I have indoor work I can be getting on with but I could do with at least 6 weeks of dry weather before the rain and winter get stuck in. I have windows and the whole outside of a house to paint and a garden to landscape and a driveway to do.
I hate working in the rain.

QuimReaper · 22/06/2017 09:35

I'm in London too and the first thing I thought this morning was "it has to break today" - we've got that horrible airless still grey mugginess. I desperately want it to cool down a bit but I prefer proper sunshine, this pre-storm weather makes me feel really anxious and claustrophobic for some reason Confused

MoominFlaps · 22/06/2017 09:39

Some of us with medical conditions can't get on with it.

Yukbuck · 22/06/2017 09:42

helsinki I totally agree. So much bad going on in the world right now. Lots of attacks. Loads of people dead in the fire last week. Be thankful that we aren't the ones affected in all that.

Hmm
AguacateMaduro · 22/06/2017 09:48

Notapuffin where are you?

ragged · 22/06/2017 09:49

What makes me laugh are the MNers saying "Oh but I can't handle it because I'm Irish-Scottish-etc."

Where I'm from we can get weeks of fierce heat several times every year (up to 30) & everyone just gets on with life (mixed availability of aircon). My relatives ARE heavily Scottish, Irish, Swedish!

We're just used to managing b/c it's our normal. My relatives freak out, though, when temp goes below 12 deg. C or there are 2 drops of rain. Not their normal. They are bewildered at how people live year round in Britain & cope with all that cold & wet.

BangkokBlues · 22/06/2017 09:52

Still hot in London!

BangkokBlues · 22/06/2017 09:53

21 Degrees but feels hotter because its so humid.

I'm WFH today and kinda wish I was in the office with the air con!
