Lovely cool breeze, nice comforting grey sky...

No legs sticking together / to chairs, no lack of air con at causing misery, no cats in a mood so foul even dreamies cannot mend... I know The Heat will be back. But thank god its gone for now!

Same, it's lush. London has been absolutely horrific the past few days. My poor toddler has been beside himself.

It's 24 today, nice and pleasant but with a lovely cool breeze. Perfect.

harderandharder2breathe · 22/06/2017 08:46

So much better!

Agree with PP that 30 degrees is fine if you don't have to actually do anything, but for those of us who have to commute on sweltering trains and buses to sweltering workplaces, it's horrible. My office will take another week to get back to normal (still too warm) temperature

I'm camping this weekend so I'm delighted with a forecast of clouds and temperatures in the high teens

PinguForPresident · 22/06/2017 08:47

SE NotLondon. Overcast, but pleasant, due to warm up to about 23degrees. Perfect, as both of my kids are on school trips today, and I don't fancy them coming home sunburned.

Personally I'm happiest when the temp is about 25 degrees, but there's a gentle breeze

nannybeach · 22/06/2017 08:47

A few days of "nice" weather, we havent had any rain for weeks, even when rain has been forcast has passed us by, Mark Twain said "If you don like the weather in England, wait 10 minutes".Have 5 water butts, empty and turf coming tomorrow, will be glad not to have temps in the 20s overnight.

StapleMyLaptop · 22/06/2017 08:47

Us heat loving lizards have only had it for the briefest of times

It's been an entire week of blazing heat.

Move somewhere tropical if you want that all the time Grin

WhooooAmI24601 · 22/06/2017 08:49

I took DS2 to school this morning and by the time I returned my hair was 14 times bigger than when I left. I've gone full Monica.

Bring back the heat.

PsammeadPaintedTheLion · 22/06/2017 08:50

33 degrees here today! Tomorrow only 28 so I am looking forward to that. Around 22 or 23 is perfect.

TheDogAteMyGoatskinVellum · 22/06/2017 08:50

Northern and it's fab.

StapleMyLaptop · 22/06/2017 08:51

are you in the UK Psammead? I thought the worst of the heat had passed.

smitti · 22/06/2017 08:53

Lovely sound this morning of the blinds tapping in the breeze.

Mulledwine1 · 22/06/2017 08:54

Low 20s is fine, it really doesn't need to be hotter than that. Remember that's the in-shade temperature too, if you want to lie in the sun it's much hotter. Anything approaching 30 degrees is far too hot for me.

It's a good job I wasn't born Australian. I'd have probably emigrated to Iceland by now.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 22/06/2017 08:59

I'm heading over to the UK from Australia next week and have been watching the heatwave news with growing horror - so glad it's most likely going to be over by the time we get there! Bloody hot summers are bad enough here, where everywhere (and all cars) have air con - in the UK, where such things are uncommon, it would be hell!

mid 20s would be lovely please - some blue sky and sun, with wispy clouds - and a light breeze. If someone could organise that for next Weds and the following 4w, I'd be very happy! Grin

Sparklingbrook · 22/06/2017 08:59

I have seen so many people with sunburn this week. I can't believe people lie in the sun in that heat.

PsammeadPaintedTheLion · 22/06/2017 09:01

Staple - nope. Germany.

blueskyinmarch · 22/06/2017 09:03

My DH flew from Edinburgh to London last night. He said stepping out into London felt like he had landed on a different continent as it was so hot and humid. I don’t think i could bear that all summer. I like my cool breezy little patch of east Scotland.

sonlypuppyfat · 22/06/2017 09:05

My DH is a welder and how he's managed this week is beyond me

ThePurpleOneWithTheNut · 22/06/2017 09:07

I love the heat usually but have realised this week (and maybe cos I'm older with hot flushes to contend with too Hmm) that I think I associate it with holidays and wafting about.

Working in it and having a normal week has been exhausting. I hate myself for saying it, but for once I am relieved it's cooled down.

I just hope it doesn't go too far...This country can be feast or famine when it comes to weather Hmm

ThePurpleOneWithTheNut · 22/06/2017 09:08

Sonlypuppyfat Omg your poor Dh!

alltouchedout · 22/06/2017 09:09

No, the drizzle is fucking my hair up and it's all grey and dull and miserable again and I couldn't hang washing out before I left for work. Bring back real summer.

ProfYaffle · 22/06/2017 09:09

Still hot here in Norfolk. We had thunderstorms forecast for this morning which I was looking forward to but it now looks like they're going to miss us so no relief here.

Asmoto · 22/06/2017 09:09

One thing I like about the UK is its variable weather. I'm happy when we get a few days of blazing heat, then happy again when it cools off because I'm starting to get fed up of it.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 22/06/2017 09:09

It's lovelySmile

WoofWoofMooWoof · 22/06/2017 09:09

Sunshine and 24 degrees at 8am in Suffolk! Muggy as hell, but a slight breeze at least.

peaceloveandbiscuits · 22/06/2017 09:10

My lovely DH opened all the doors at 5am so the house was fresher when we all got up. I'm so happy The Heat is gone for now Smile breastfeeding a 2 week old is a bit slippery in 30 deg.

MuncheysMummy · 22/06/2017 09:11

It's about 19c here on the Fylde coast and grey with drizzle, blessed relief after the last weeks 27c heat! Not fun at all with the heavy cold me and my 1 year old DS have had for the last 9 days Angry
