Wanky neighbour and pissing dog issue WITH DIAGRAM!!

We live in a new build on an estate, we rent. I have a front lawn which comes down the side of the house adjacent to the road and runs alongside the back garden. The back garden is fenced in. A random woman keeps walking down from some flats up the road and letting her dog poo and wee on my side bit. When we mow the lawn the amount of shit that flies about is grim. She stands there with a bag pretending she's going to pick it up then doesn't. I can't go out to her as I have 3 under 3 in the house and I'm alone as husband works nights.
Our lawn is also getting all yellowy from her dogs constant piss!! I can't figure out what flat she is coming from.. can i put up a sign?? Cctv? Its driving me mad. Mainly on principle.

Sprinkler system?

hellobonjour · 17/06/2017 20:49

CCTV and warn her that she's being filmed.

Dirty woman

Hippee · 17/06/2017 20:49

Infuriating. I hope that one day you find out where she lives and can post it all through her letterbox.

Veterinari · 17/06/2017 20:50

Ideally you need to talk to her - can you knowlck on the window? And yes def a sign

MyOtherNameIsTaken · 17/06/2017 20:50

Super soaker from a high window.

Hippee · 17/06/2017 20:50

Does she do it at the same kind of time every day? Could you alert the dog warden?

glenthebattleostrich · 17/06/2017 20:50

Open window and shout ' oy pick up your dog shit, kids play there you filthy bitch'

Longdistance · 17/06/2017 20:53

Find out where she lives and smear her windows with it. Dirty bitch!

ScrumpyBetty · 17/06/2017 20:54

Water pistol. Open window. Ready aim fire! That'll learn her.

TheAntiBoop · 17/06/2017 20:58

I'm with glen

Or take a photo and give it to the dog warden along with the block she lives in

ineedamoreadultieradult · 17/06/2017 21:02

Can you move your fence to include that bit of land? Or video her and report to whatever part of the council hands out the dog fouling fines?

Floralnomad · 17/06/2017 21:07

If you can get her on film not picking up you can report her to the dog warden at the council and they will fine her.

Flisspaps · 17/06/2017 21:11

Put up a low fence around the edge of your labs?

Go out to her when her dog is shitting - it's ok to step out on to your own garden and leave your DC inside the house.

Inertia · 17/06/2017 21:14

If you are not allowed to put a fence up, can you plant something really prickly along there?

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 17/06/2017 21:15

Make a sign

"Do Not Shit On My Lawn. CCTV in action"

That should stop her!

Medeci · 17/06/2017 21:17

Definitely take photos and send to dog warden with info on times, block of flats she lives in etc. they should track her down. Don't miss this chance OP, fantastic opportunity to actually catch someone who never picks up dog poo, most of the dirty buggers get away with it.
Don't speak to her or warn her beforehand

Twopeapods · 17/06/2017 21:20

Definitely knock the window and confront her in some way and tell her you'll be reporting her. And inform the dog warden as they can issue a fine.
The dog warden told me to mix up some biological washing powder in a bottle with water and shake it up. Then put it all along where the dog likes to do it's business as they hate the smell. It seemed to work for me.

DerelictWreck · 17/06/2017 21:22

In all fairness, if your fence is where it is on the picture, I'd assume that was common access grass! She probably just doesn't realise so a little sign, or better yet a quiet word, should do the trick

JaneEyre70 · 17/06/2017 21:37

A starting pistol from your upstairs window should suffice.........or firecrackers!! And get her photo, I'd call out so she can see you do it "nice smile for the dog warden please".

MsMims · 17/06/2017 21:42

Do you share the same landlord?

I'd still pop out and ask her to stop it. Would take less than a minute, but if not perhaps ask the landlord to have a word?

badgercat · 17/06/2017 22:14

We have the old council wall running in the middle of our property - we aren't allowed to fence higher than 4ft so didn't bother for a long time.
The amount of dogs we've had shitting on our front garden is untrue - every time I caught one and tore them a new one another would come along a week or 2 later. I'd start with a sign but in all honesty they know they shouldn't be doing it, she's just continuing because no ones told her not to !

ScissorBow · 17/06/2017 22:43

Hose pipe and sprinkler. Turn it on when you see dog appear. Repeat repeat repeat.

Tapandgo · 17/06/2017 22:48

If you can see her, surely you are in a position to open window and tell her off?
Otherwise - Big sign on your lawn ......
Antisocial behaviour warning to the woman who lets her dog piss and shit on my lawn - stop as you are now being filmed and will be reported

DancingLedge · 17/06/2017 22:53

Prickly plants are your friend here, Rosa Rugosa, or Berberis

missiondecision · 17/06/2017 22:56

Just ask her to stop!
She probably thinks it's common space, still ducking gross but I doubt she knows it's yours and thinks "oh she won't mind if I don't clean my dogs shits off her grass".
If that fails, water sprinkler.
