I wonder how they'll do that, any suggestions?

A fashion piece on bowler hats and sashes. OITNB.

VocalCat · 09/06/2017 22:53

I think they will just have to ignore them and pretend there isn't a coalition because surely even the DM cannot make the DUP look decent.

ssd · 09/06/2017 22:56

I wonder of any of them have "a shapely set of pins/pert derriere/enviable curves" etc etc

something the mail loves?

they'll have to make them look good, don't they?

Well, it is the fail. There's few depths to which they won't sink.

However, I'd be surprised if a racist, homophobic, anti women, anti choice message didn't appeal to their readers on some level.

ssd · 09/06/2017 22:58

exploded, or rangers strips maybe they'll "make a comeback"

Enviable taint abs clad in an orange sash.

skyzumarubble · 09/06/2017 23:00

Taut!!

ErrolTheDragon · 09/06/2017 23:01

I'd have thought the DUP would be their idea of 'decent'. Isn't their manifesto basically the nastier bits of the Bible plus regular wastebin collection?

ssd · 09/06/2017 23:03

maybe the daily fail has had their dreams came true with the DUP then?

This season's sashery, ideal for showing off your march-ready body.....

Even the DM can't make this bunch of knuckle-dragging homophobic bigots look good.

SeanSpicer · 09/06/2017 23:09

I'm sure Arlene Foster'll be flaunting her curves (Ie walking down a street) soon enough.

They'll do it by making up such outrageous lies about corbyn that the DUP seem like the better option.

OP posts:
ssd · 09/06/2017 23:15

jenny, they'll have to go some to lie anymore about Corbyn

Please can someone put a little list of what the DUP have done to be unpalatable? I don't know anything about them and this thread looks like I need educating on this topic!

LondonNicki · 09/06/2017 23:19

I don't think they will as they've already turned on May...

FlaviaAlbia · 09/06/2017 23:20

Yes MariafromMalmo

The NI assembly voted in favour of gay marriage in NI and the DUP used the petition of concern to block it.

The petition of concern was introduced to prevent laws being passed that were detrimental to one community. It was not designed to allow parties to block laws they didn't agree with. However the DUP had over 30 seats and used it frequently to block anything they don't like. Which is most liberal stuff.

In the last local elections, the DUP had heavy losses and lost the number of seats they needed to use the petition of concern.

Then Brexit. And now we're all fucked.

ZaphodBeeblerox · 09/06/2017 23:20

NI doesn't have gay marriage only because of DUP Maria, they're against "sodomy in Ulster" if you fancy googling that despicable campaign.
And they are against abortions even in cases of incest. And don't fancy immigrants v much. Or Catholics for that matter. Lovely chaps.

ssd · 09/06/2017 23:20

the daily mail are so thick they'll probably still be saying JC is friends with terrorists and how awful is he, whilst showing May and Arlene Foster shaking hands and all they's do is comment on their lovely shoes and bikini bodies....

OP posts:
elevenclips · 09/06/2017 23:21

(Excuse this if it's ignorant)

But I just saw on another thread that DUP are described as homophobes. They couldn't really damage our gay rights as she anything like that (eg gay marriage) goes through parliament, all parties let their MPs vote freely? Part of the reason I didn't vote for the incumbent candidate in my constituency was they voted against gay marriage when it went through parliament and I was really appalled. But it still went through ok.

Some other DUP scandals, Redsky (£8 million), Iris Robinson affair scandal (£50,000), Nama (£7.5 million), charter N.I (£1.2 billion), Cash for Ash (£500 million).

Also worth a google, Ulster Resistance, and UDA.
