He's made a mockery of the Labour Party and won votes by creating a manifesto that the country could not afford to deliver!!!

Resign JC !!!

Nope Theresa should resign

Osolea · 09/06/2017 09:39

Yabu. That man did good!

Jupitar · 09/06/2017 09:40

How has he made a mockery? He got a higher percentage of the votes than Blair did in the 2005 landslide.

He's not resigning, he's only just getting started, there's plenty more to see yet

Iloveyouthismuch · 09/06/2017 09:41

Did you wake up in an alternate universe QuiteLikely? Away back tae bed love!

meditrina · 09/06/2017 09:41

No, of course he shouldn't resign.

Yes, the overspending on this manifesto programme was rather worrying, but next time round there is an opportunity to narrow or even eliminate that, but with the same thrust of priorities. And there is no reason whatsoever to think that would be a liability.

I strongly prefer parties with principles, because I can respect them even when I don't agree with them.

Dandandandandandandan · 09/06/2017 09:42

If by some horror that prehistoric nightmare did get power, it would be interesting to look back at these threads in a few years' time when the economy is utterly knackered and the country has no investment or high earners left to fleece and see if people still think he was a great idea. People have short memories.

QuiteLikely5 · 09/06/2017 09:42

He only got those votes due to his undeliverable manifesto!

He fooled all of his supporters - he knew he would never win hence creating an absurd manifesto just to win seats

JuicyStrawberry · 09/06/2017 09:43

YABU. I like him. All my family hate him because of his "past".

FlyingElbows · 09/06/2017 09:43

Resign? The man's played an absolute blinder.

BeeFarseer · 09/06/2017 09:43

Erm, why? Labour gained more seats and a larger percentage of the vote than they did in the last two elections.

Are you on glue?

Cousinit · 09/06/2017 09:43

Err...are you serious, OP?? Grin

MommaGee · 09/06/2017 09:43

JC has the rough principles and has done a lot to get the youth up and out voting

I'drather a leader who can't quote achieve all his positive goals than a leader who has negative goals!

someonestolemynick · 09/06/2017 09:43

Of course not - he has taken 29 seats and has achieved an overall swing towards Labour - all this in the face of a hostile press.
A few weeks ago we were talking about Labour losing 70 seats.
I think with some hard work and a revised media strategy Labour could win the next Election.

needtogiveitablow · 09/06/2017 09:44

How has he made a mockery of the Labour Party? Their vote share is better than it was when Blair had his second landslide? He now has the backing of the party and has clearly motivated the electorate - obviously there hasn't been a clear winner but it's fairly obvious which party ran a better campaign, time will tell whether the manifesto is unacheivable (if they can form a government) but what's clear is people don't have faith in the current government or what they claim to be able to deliver!

paxillin · 09/06/2017 09:45

Grin Grin Grin He is unassailable now and will retire when he's ready.

What if there is another general election soon, he might actually win.

QuiteLikely5 · 09/06/2017 09:45

Yes he has got the youth voting by saying he was going to abolish tuition fees!

He's unstable and not a leader

OP posts:
IWillCrushYouLikeABug · 09/06/2017 09:45

I wasn't keen and I didn't think people would actually vite for him. I was clearly way off. I'd prefer Corbyn over May any day so yabu.

GotToGetMyFingerOut · 09/06/2017 09:45

His manifesto was fully costed. If he should resign so should Theresa May who has massively fucked up and put us in a weaker position for brexit negoatations. Stupid woman.

MaudGonneMad · 09/06/2017 09:46

Grin good one, OP

MotherOfBleach · 09/06/2017 09:46

He's unstable and not a leader

Are you watching the same election as the rest of us?

christinarossetti · 09/06/2017 09:46

God know. He's likely to be the next PM.

HTH.

QuiteLikely5 · 09/06/2017 09:46

Yes it comes back to the campaign but that's just a campaign TM has brought a good level of national stability to this country unlike him with his radical policy ideas
