He's made a mockery of the Labour Party and won votes by creating a manifesto that the country could not afford to deliver!!!

Resign JC !!!

I'm sure the Conservatives do think he should resign. Same as Labour probably hopes TM will stumble on.

Corbyn has achieved something that no-one believed possible a few weeks ago.
He'll be extremely hard to dislodge now and I think many in the Labour movement will not want him to go after what he's shown he can do.

LanaKanesLeftNippleTassle · 09/06/2017 10:00

as likeable as a syphalitic fish Grin

Vango · 09/06/2017 10:01

TM has brought a good level of national stability to this country

I hate to break it to you but we're in chaos this morning.

Totallyblurred · 09/06/2017 10:01

If anyone should resign it should be may, does this not prove she's politically weak?

Win or lose, he's done great.

greedygorb · 09/06/2017 10:02

I wouldn't worry too much about JC's economics fucking us over. Brexit's going to do that quite nicely all by itself - no added input needed.

Jupitar · 09/06/2017 10:02

misseliza

Yes, maybe someone a bit more middle ground like perhaps....Ed Milliband? yes labour would definitely have won then......Hmm

7461Mary18 · 09/06/2017 10:02

Corbyn and May have been been subject to very unfair criticism during the campaign. Corbyn's position is stronger now so I doubt he will go.
The Tories are the largest party so far with 319 seats so first now get to try to form a government. It is very likely thankfully that they will do so.

Fab39ish · 09/06/2017 10:03

Yabu. It was a great result for him. I support Labour but still expected the Tories to get a majority. Do in my eyes he has done a cracking job. Mrs May on the other hand. And Amber Rudd needing 3 recounts to get elected.

LanaKanesLeftNippleTassle · 09/06/2017 10:03

Oh and TM has hardly made this country more fucking stable, has she?

It was her fucking idea to throw the country into the chaos of a GE literally days before we have to start Brexit negotiations.

She's cocked things up badly.

TM out!

Runssometimes · 09/06/2017 10:03

Considering Theresa went up and down the country to listen to voters rather than debate policies I'd say she needs her hearing tested. But she's an excellent driver, particularly on U-turns. No JC should not resign. He ran an excellent and dignified campaign despite huge media bias. Theresa and Cameron before her have massively destabilised the country in gamble for their own political gain. So irresponsible. I'm just glad it seems young people finally had enough and turned up to vote.

everthibkyouvebeenconned · 09/06/2017 10:04

Best laugh I've had for ages

Thank you OP

OohMavis · 09/06/2017 10:05

May lost too, you know that right? She lost her majority. That's just hilarious.

Thing is, Labour supporters are coming at this election from the position of hope, not arrogance. We didn't expect to win like May did. The fact that we've gained seats and the Tories have lost their majority in their attempt to secure more seats is a brilliant success.

So yeah, we're happy. I'm in a great mood.

Fab39ish · 09/06/2017 10:06

Yeah last night we were all being told that when the Conservatives win with a majority all the lefties will be on here having a go. We will than be told to get over it.

Totallyblurred · 09/06/2017 10:08

Conservative/DUP is the worst possible thing that could happen.
After all the shite we've heard surrounding corbyn and his 'terror links'
Would Tory voters really be ok with conservatives forming a coalition with them? Or does that not matter now?

Riversleep · 09/06/2017 10:08

You are just watching the media tear a strip out of the Tories and buying into it - the same way you were fooled by JC with his crazy manifesto

Did you watch the constant bombardment for weeks and months of 'Comrade Corbyn' etc etc? That very same media have egg on their faces and are losing the grip they thought they had. They are furious and lashing out. Just because you cant take it when the boot is on the other foot for 5 minutes! I wasnt a fan of Corbyn, but I was wrong. He shouldnt resign. Teresa May caused this mess. Just as David Cameron caused the Brexit referendum mess. Labour have a chance of regrouping and uniting stronger under Jeremy Corbyn, while the Tory hard right pull their party apart over Europe once more.

alltouchedout · 09/06/2017 10:08

Oh definitely. Of course what you do when you have gained seats and delivered a hung parliament rather than the expected overwhelming Tory majority is resign. That makes perfect sense. Confused

QuiteLikely5 · 09/06/2017 10:08

The uk is not in disarray. Nothing has really changed. It's just the media getting excited.

The only worrying thing is more terror attacks - TM has had three of these to deal with in the run up.

OP posts:
Boynamedsue · 09/06/2017 10:09

He didn't really lose, they won 29 extra seats. TM lost 12 and her majority. There's no actual winner and therefore no actual loser (except TM of course Grin)

LanaKanesLeftNippleTassle · 09/06/2017 10:09

Well said OohMavis

I am so, so chuffed that some of the arrogance has been knocked out of the smug, self centered woman.

40% and 42%. - nearly even split!

She's lost her mandate to rule.
She's lost a lot of ground for the party, and went into this believeing she would walk it.

I am little bit prouder of Britain today.

Purpleprickles · 09/06/2017 10:09

He is unstable and not a leader
Are you sure you didn't mean to post should TM resign? She is the unstable one OP. Called this election spouting "strong and stable" and ended it looking completely weak.

But yes let's attack JC again rather than look at the issues with the conservatives Hmm

Justanothernameonthepage · 09/06/2017 10:10

YABU. The people I know who voted for labour, mainly did so out of concern for the NHS, the disabled and schools. The Tories bought this on themselves by focusing on Brexit (that remember, nearly 50% of voters have reservations about) instead of facing concerns that people have in their everyday life. Then by running an awful campaign and constantly changing policies without backing up their core spending, they made it difficult for themselves.

TheNaze73 · 09/06/2017 10:11

I don't think he'll be going any time soon. He's done well after the shambles of Miliband. He'll have 5 years in opposition v The Conservatives/DUP and it'll be interesting to see what happens in 2022, if we get that far.
The DUP however are akin to UKIP in their outlook, so think with their negotiating, we might see & even more right wing government then had we had an outright Tory majority

MissEliza · 09/06/2017 10:11

Jupitar read my post. I did not mention Ed Miliband precisely because I don't think he's electable - as obviously was shown two years ago. JC isn't electable either.

ShatnersWig · 09/06/2017 10:11

Quite What have the terror attacks got to do with it?
