I just saw a set of twins in town today , wearing identical floral skirts, coloured blouses and purple coats.. Nothing wrong with that you say, well they were in their 70's I would think. I have seen them before in town and they always wear matching outfits. I know it is really nobody's business but their own, but I found it a little cringey.

They might be the twins I knew as a child who always looked and dressed identically. They’d be in their 70s now - were a couple of years older than me.

I’ve always thought that When I Am Old poem is bloody horrible. It doesn’t depict mild eccentricity but full on mental decline - I had a great aunt like that. She once fell into the embers of a fire and was lucky to only burn part of her clothing.

They sound adorable and fun. I'll bet they really give a fuck what you think OP.

I am in my fifties and when I was growing up there were a set of identical twin in our road, they were both married with babies but they always dressed the same and had the same hairstyles. They seemed to go everywhere together. I wonder if they still do that, they must be in their seventies now.

As a parent of identical twins I find it ever so sad when I see this.

In my area, there are A LOT of identical twins (I have non-identical twins) and I've noticed a couple of different teenage pairs dressed identically. All twins have a different bond/relationship and I guess we wouldn't understand it (my pair are nearly 4 and look very dissimilar and have very different personalities, but like very similar clothes!).

That just reminded me of elderly identical twins who lived in the area I used to live as a child/young adult. I’d see them on a regular basis, always just the two of them together, walking along linking arms and dressed the exactly the same from head to toe. It always struck me as a bit odd but also really cute. Definitely not cringey.
