Senators serve 6 year terms. Each state has 2 Senators and they are up for re-election in different years. For example, in my state Sen Harris was elected in 2016 & will be up for reelection in 2022, Sen Feinstein was reelected in 2012 & is up for reelection in 2018.
Representatives serve 2 year terms and are all up for re-election every two years.
I've been staying away from the TV & radio news for my mental health today. But I did hear a clip of Scrotus banging on about NATO payments. It's another "Look at MEEEE, I will get you MONNEEYYYY!!" tactic to deflect from the Russia 'connection'. From now on, everything he does or says will be calculated with that in mind. And I understand that those investigating things must keep a low profile and keep schtum. It's just hard to hear him bang on and on about 'vindication' and 'leakers' and not hear any type of rebuttal from 'official' channels. I just have to remember that there is more going on in the background than we can ever possibly know.
I'd give anything right now for one of Melania's 'keep yer fuckin' mitts to yourself!' hand snatches or one of her 'evil eye' stares at Scrotus. I need some humour!
