to think Theresa May or Boris Johnson should stand up for UK elected politicians when Trump deliberately misinterprets Sadiq Khan

Trump won't let it go.

First of all he deliberately misinterprets Khan's statement

I'm sure he doesn't need people jumping in to protect him from mean stuff said by Trump which was based on a misinterpretation of what Sadiq Khan said.

This is the President of the United States, supposedly our closest ally, having a go at the elected Mayor of our capital city after another terrorist attack.

Hmmm I agree with what DJ says but perhaps Kahn doesn't want TM to "stand up for him" as it might be seen that Kahn can't fight his own battles.

I'm guessing TM et al on all sides are busy dealing with the aftermath of the terrorist attacks and trying to win an election
