To be frustrated by people who won't talk about last night in London?

I seem to be surrounded by a group of people who don't want to talk about what happened last night.

They seem very happy to post lovely social media pictures of parties, events, pictures of children beaming. Even those that don't seem unwilling to talk about this 'dark' subject (may be a product of where we live).

Am I some kind of weirdo or do these conversations need to take place?

I was in Borough Market a couple of hours before the attacks, and in the London Bridge area as it was happening (safe and completely oblivious). Today on MN has been the first time I've mentioned it to anyone other than immediate family and friends. Have certainly not mentioned it on personal social media.

TBH I've silently judged people who are completely unaffected, who don't live or work in London or have friends/family involved, and are reacting totally hysterically on Facebook making it all about them. I'm deeply sad for the people who were attacked and for my beautiful city, but other than that, it's nothing to do with me.
