To think there are a lot of Tory shills on this site at the moment?

All these "I'm so sacred of Land Tax/is Corbyn a terrorist/the BBC is biased to Labour" threads can't be real, surely?

Probably the fault of bankers/ well off folk/ Jewish people/entrepreneur's please delete as appropriate to suit the labour mp

LadyinCement · 02/06/2017 16:05

Analysis by Oxford University found that 179 accounts believed to be bots pumped out 21,661 pro-Labour tweets during a week in the election.
Meanwhile, 182 fake Tory accounts pumped out just 13,000 tweets over the same time period.

So they're both at it, but Labour much more successfully.

citroenpresse · 02/06/2017 16:16

Mother you want to call someone who gets a third class degree from a poly 'thick' but they are not as 'thick' as Dianne Abbot? Who has a history degree from Newnham College Cambridge?

BertrandRussell · 02/06/2017 16:33

"So, are there any knowledgeable people out there able to have a conversation without being very biased/opinionated? I've things I want to understand better"
I'm happy to try......

Lady, bearing in mind you only seem to have appeared in the last week, do you have evidence please?

LadyinCement · 02/06/2017 16:56

Now that makes me cross. If you like, contact MNHQ and ask how long I've been on here. I'll wager it's been a darned sight longer than you.

Dawndonnaagain · 02/06/2017 17:00

Possibly, I've been here years. You only had to say you name changed though. Apart from which, do you have evidence? Bearing in mind that I have been saying on all these damned threads that all parties use social media to their advantage.

LadyinCement · 02/06/2017 17:06

I think I've been here about 12 years Blush

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 02/06/2017 17:13

All these "I'm so sacred of Land Tax/is Corbyn a terrorist/the BBC is biased to Labour" threads can't be real, surely?

All of the anti Tory threads or the I fancy Corbyn threads can't be real, surely?

elevenclips · 02/06/2017 17:15

There was a thread yesterday where posters talked about wanting to shag Jeremy Corbyn.

This election has made people go mad. I don't care who wins the stupid thing (and I'm not even voting because they are all a bunch of liars) but I really want it to be over and done with. Not just because all sides are constantly spewing bile but because someone needs to be solving the country's problems. Doing real work instead of this utter circus.

SenseiWoo · 02/06/2017 17:21

No idea, but I am delighted you have used the marvellous, evocative and underused word 'shill'.

uglyflowers · 02/06/2017 17:31

I just don't understand how any parents on here wouldn't vote Labour. Why would anyone condemn their kids to zero hour contracts, huge student loans, tracking and having to sell everything they own in the event that they get cancer or an uninsurable health condition? Just why would you do that? Because Corbyn is weak? Yet TM can't even create a manifesto or participate in a debate?

Yabbadabbo2 · 02/06/2017 17:34

ugly
Why would anyone condemn their kids to paying off increased national debt and having a race to the bottom where personal gain and achievement is punished

TheWaffleStomper · 02/06/2017 17:37

Stomp.

What a ridiculous AIBU.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 02/06/2017 17:39

Today's "hot thread" is about Keir Starmer.

I wonder who will be "hot" tomorrow?

Dianne Abbott or McDonnell?

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 02/06/2017 17:44

I just don't understand how any parents on here wouldn't vote Labour.

Maybe because it's a democracy.

DianeAbbottsBeefyCurtains · 02/06/2017 17:45

Have you seen the proposed Labour cabinet? Who would vote for them?

Dawndonnaagain · 02/06/2017 17:50

I would, but I'm disabled and have dc with disabilities and they're at university. Why would I vote for a ticket to starvation?

DianeAbbottsBeefyCurtains · 02/06/2017 18:05

A knackered economy based on unsustainable tax projections and woeful borrowing certainly won't stop starvation.

I'd like to see an increase in support for people like you and come down like a tonne of bricks on people like my friend's sister (quite deliberately had 2 kids to get a flat because she "needed her own space") or my cousin and his half brother (21 and 24 and never had a job between them) or my friend's niece (quit her first and only job at Sainsbury's because she "didn't like the uniform"); people taking cash for jobs and not paying tax (and those paying them cash to stop the practice).

Free tuition for all students is insane. Make it merit and means based, sure, but not all courses for all students.

MaybeNextWeek · 02/06/2017 18:13

'I would, but I'm disabled and have dc with disabilities and they're at university. Why would I vote for a ticket to starvation?'
I have a disabled dc, we manage on Pip, it hasn't been cut in fact she got more when transferred from DLA. Not the same for everyone but certainly for those I know of whom there are several.
Its a myth that the Tories target disabled people.

People should remember Labour cock ups such as the 2004 GP contract, that caused more damage to the nhs with gps opting out of oncalls therefore putting a huge pressure on already stretched A&E services.

Does anyone know if Mumsnet ever disallow usernames because they are offensive to a living person?

OP posts:
ChardonnaysPrettySister · 02/06/2017 18:32

I don't know, bertrand, but did have someone's lonely brain cell for a while, i don't remember who the particular person was, it was a celebrity.

scaevola · 02/06/2017 18:36

You can report anything you feel is offensive, whether post or user name, to MNHQ and they'll decide if it can stand or not.
