Have you changed your mind about him?

He had a lot more of a personality that I warmed to compared to May. It seemed like he believed in his message.

Theresa May was in Cameron's Government. I didn't see her standing up for what she believed in on the Just about managings...

I thought he came across very well, especially with that small business owner. He seems like a man with conviction and values, who's actually standing up for the core things he believes in.

Dear God Theresa May was awful, no wonder she didn't want to do any other debates. The gurning! She looked most uncomfortable.

I've been an SNP voter because I wanted to vote for a left wing party and Labour under Miliband was pathetic. I'm voting Labour to show JC some support for a decent manifesto. And I'm not fussed about independence. Hopefully Scotland has a bit of a swing towards a new, more decent Labour after the 2015 SNP annihilation.

Op, he's not denounced the Ira, in fact the opposite, in a recent BBC interview he refused to do so five times. He also had files open against him by the intelligence services years ago due to his activities and abbot was also involved.

They had an affair which is undenied, so I suspect she knows the full story.

I think what galls me more. Corbyn is a millionaire. He is worth an estimated 2.4 million. He warns 153 k a year. He just doesn't talk about his personal wealth but his net worth, like all public figures is available. It's so hypo critical. He says he's not rich based in how he spends his money, or he did a couple of weeks ago when challenged on the fact he's a millionaire.

I would like a strong stance to Scotland having a referendum in the distant future: once in a generation style.

Corbyn likes talking and it seems will encourage the SNP Neverendum approach. So I do feel I have no party to vote for tbh.

Well, from looking at social media this morning, , it appears JC's performance last night has impressed a lot of people'- even some tories.. Smile

I've seen lots of voters who have been undecided now swinging towards labour.
I would be embarrassed if I was a tory after May's performance last night.

What's wrong with Corbyn being a millionaire? Most of the Tory party are, many through inherited and marrying into wealth. Or is it the usual lazy right wing insult of "champagne socialist"?

I don't care how rich somebody is, it's their actions and integrity that matter. As for all the "terrorist supporter" people - you do know Heath, Thatcher and Major all had meetings with the IRA don't you. They all denied it of course, but it's all out in the open now undeniable. There's a picture that always get dragged out of him stood next to Gerry Adams to try and show he loves terrorists. Except it was taken in 10 Downing Street after the Good Friday agreement. Fantastic pictures of the Queen shaking Adam's hand though, and Prince Charles with Martin McGuiness, but they ardly get a mention. I can't think why. And just in case you think I like the IRA - I don't think so, I fucking hate them with a passion.

I have changed my mind about Corbyn - I'm voting Labour next week, and I am actually doing so with some conviction, COME ON!

I do think Abbott has to go though, she is awful!

Bluntness, the Tory party stated that he refused to condem the IRA in that interview but if you read the transcript (tweeted by the guardian) he said in very clear language that he condemned their violence.

This reminds me of the US election where despite there being evidence that she asked to be excused & only defended the child sex offender properly so he couldnt claim a retrial and despite Donald Trump actually awaiting trial accused of raping a child himself, people didnt vote for Hilary because she was 'a paedophile sympathiser'

My Mum who is staunch Labour, late sixties and a miner's wife, has decided to spoil her ballot, rather than vote Corbyn after last night's 'debate'.

Thing is you get Abbott and the sinister McDonnell as part of the package. It's awful imo.

GetAHaircutCarl, I am trad Labour and it's hard..

If Corbyn has managed to talk my mum out of voting Labour, there is no fucking hope!

Whataboutery doesn't win votes.

This is what Labour have not grasped, you cannot answer every question and concern with 'The terrible Tories blah blah blah.'

Report
BakewellSliceAgain · 30/05/2017 09:43

I agree Bazooka. Like I say it's difficult. I'm not in a marginal constituency so in that respect it's not an important vote. Unless there is a massive Corbyn surge against the SNP..

Report
BakewellSliceAgain · 30/05/2017 09:52

I would say the conservative front bench with t have loyalty to one another and will come and go. Corbyn, McDonnel and Abbott have been close allies for years.

Should read : Will have no loyalty to one another

Only 5 pro-Corbyn threads started this morning? You're slipping : ) I'm assuming this is Islington branch of Momentumn again?

GetAHaircutCarl: there are people going in the other direction and plumping for Corbyn.

Each party is hell bent on pissing off its former core vote! Party support is in flux.

I thought they both came out of it pretty crap. I feel very partyless.

After his intervention yesterday I doubt it.
