Benefit concert well done lovely and hope you are ok

I think it's the sort of typo to revel in!

Has she really offered to pay for funerals? Shit that it's necessary, but a good gesture. And I hope for an enduring interest in the injured survivors.

It wasn't remotely her fault that a person of evil intent targeted an event where she was performing. So anything from her that helps is lovely.

Dianneabbottsmathsteacher · 26/05/2017 20:22

No my dd is recovering not from this incident thanks.

The mortgage comment was because dh was SE and had to take time off while dd mended. We nearly lost our house but that's life.

People need money to cope it's not frivolous just saying

How do you sue for a terrorist attack?

OP posts:
Highalert · 26/05/2017 20:24

I think some people need to stop being twats when someone makes a mistake.

And as for PedantHere and her shite picture. No words really.

Mumzypopz · 26/05/2017 20:30

I think pedanthere was just trying to be funny. Smile

I'm not even sure what this thread is about anymore....thought it was about Ariana Grande.

mygorgeousmilo · 26/05/2017 20:35

This is all so unclear

ghostyslovesheets · 26/05/2017 20:38

baffled

Dianneabbottsmathsteacher · 26/05/2017 20:39

It's about good on her for doing a benefit concert.

When the absolute worse happens you need time to heal with your children and it's not always possible to return to work if you are self employed. You need money. With out dd we had lawyers who could sue and support us. These parents might not.

mumz if you need me to fill in the details I will

You can claim criminal injuries compensation for injuries from a terrorist attack but it's not much. Your own critical illness insurance or income protection or mortgage protection insurance will be better if it doesn't preclude terrorism related injuries.

Sparklingbrook · 26/05/2017 20:39

I think the summary is that Ariana Grande is possibly going to do a fundraising concert in Manchester at some point.

Completeguess · 26/05/2017 20:40

Yes I'm completely confused now

2014newme · 26/05/2017 20:40

The concert won't be for a very long time

RoseOfSharyn · 26/05/2017 20:41

Doesn't take a genius to work out that the OP started this thread with good intentions.

Well done everyone who has piled in to take the piss! Sad

RoseAndRose · 26/05/2017 20:41

It shouldn't be baffling. It's simply a thread about Ariana Grande's pledge to hold a benefit concert for those who need help following the attack on the Manchester Arena

www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/may/26/ariana-grande-to-hold-benefit-concert-for-manchester-victims

ghostyslovesheets · 26/05/2017 20:43

no sorry I'm just confused about somethings the OP said - sorry

yes it's a lovely thing to do obviously

I'm just a bit confused by some other bits!

Highalert · 26/05/2017 20:45

Its quite clear what the OP meant in her OP. All the fake I'm confused' posts are just as bad as the ones taking the piss out of OPs spelling mistake.

Is it the heat making some people act like twats on MN today?

Sparklingbrook · 26/05/2017 20:46

I think some more detail in the thread title may have helped.

ghostyslovesheets · 26/05/2017 20:47

why is it twatty to just be confused - probably more twatty to try and start a fight with perfectly reasonable if confused people

2014newme · 26/05/2017 20:50

I think people are confused as they thought the op family had been injured at the concert but the op did say she was referring to a different incident.

usernamealreadytaken · 26/05/2017 21:06

It's amazingly kind of her to do a benefit gig in the Manchester Arena for the families, especially given that she must be in quite a state too.

I agree it's a really kind thing to do, but I SERIOUSLY doubt it will be at the arena as that's where the bomb was on Monday. It'll more likely be at the Etihad. Sorry to pull you up on it but I cannot imagine anyone round here's going back to the arena, let alone Ariana herself as she was so shaken by this.

Completeguess · 26/05/2017 21:08

And would you let your young daughter go?
