Roundabout Lanes!! 😡

Cars A and B are both heading for Exit C.

Which land should each car be in before exiting the roundabout?

I have realised that on my way to work I go through a roundabout in the left hand lane in order to take the second exit, but at the same roundabout on the way home I go into the right hand lane (again, second exit). I must be wrong at least once! No road markings to help.

This exact situation happened to me on a very similar roundabout! Insurance (and traffic officers) said I (car A) was in the right!

Car A is heading for exit B surely? Car B is in the correct lane.

Car a is in the wrong lane.

Love the diagram! There's a roundabout on my commute where I've nearly been taken out so many times by other road users wanting my lane one they are ON the roundabout, nevermind I queued for the one I am in - the correct one I may add. Drives me insane.

If you want fun try the Arch de Triomphe in Paris, about 9 lanes and IIRC 12 ? exits and (as a UK driver viewpoint) all the 'wrong way round'.

If you enter a roundabout where there is an exit you can take with more than one lane you MUST stay in the lane you are in! We have it where I live on the approach to the ringroad. Three lanes approaching, first lane is for the first and second left exits, second and third lane are for straight on. You will always get some tosser in lane 3 go straight on then cut you up to go into lane two after the roundabout- really pisses me off

Ah, more Oxford people! And the new arrangement if you are coming from Cutteslowe roundabout and heading towards Witney - you need to be in the left hand lane to go straight on, the number of people who nip up the right hand land and then nearly smash into the side of me as I head west and it's a single lane exit...
