Since DD was born I have come to understand it will be a while before I get to experience what I used to enjoy again. So I have been trying to think of the simple pleasure to help me get through the day of endless cleaning up sick and doing chores.
I really enjoy washing my hair in a steaming hot shower, especially when someone else is holding the baby so she isn't in the bathroom with me 😅
Or hanging out the washing in the sunshine.

Getting into a lovely clean bed after a nice hot shower and clean jammies. Fucking heaven on earth! Especially after a really busy day. It's my favourite thing to do!

Going to the farm to see my ponies on a night. That hours peace and quiet is amazing

Sitting in the garden on my new bench, especially when the robin appears. Love it.

Listening to the cute little noises my baby makes whilst breastfeeding and various other times.

Playing fetch with my cat.

Watching Shirley Temple films with my Grandma.

At the moment watching Anne with an E on Netflix (Anne of Green Gables remake)

Sitting down with a cup of tea once I've put dd to bed
Having an evening walk listening to birdsong
Watching dd (11 months) 'read books' - she turns the pages saying "dada mum...hiya dad...muma nana" etc.
Finding a good documentary on Netflix
Getting into fresh bedding after a bath

Solo supermarket trip!

How could I forget?! I get one lie in every week and a half. It's the best and I look forward to it for days in advance.

I'm in the same boat as you OP!
So at the moment I'm going to say going out with the pram while listening to a podcast (currently S Town). Exercise for me, fresh air for the baby and me time with the podcast.

Two very complex elderly parents so a shower, clean undies, some sleep, a hot cup of decent tea and if I'm really lucky a glass of wine 🍷. Actually just at the moment some uninterrupted sleep would work.

Freshly shaved and moisturised tanned skin, tea and chocolate together, freshly washed and blow dried hair, driving through the countryside on a sunny day, eyelash extensions, a roast chicken dinner and bottle of prosecco on a Sunday

Hot chocolate before bed.
Freshly washed hair when it feels all light and airy.
Standing in the garden watching the sunset.
Listening to Evanescence songs.
Putting on a brand new lipstick.
Chocolate!
Watching clips of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on YouTube.
Anything sparkly that catches the light and turns it into a thousand tiny rainbows.

A cold glass of white wine or prosecco (I'm pregnant and have been dreaming about this a lot recently). You know, when it's so cold the glass gets condensation...

Seeing the birds in the garden, - don't know what the fuck they are and they aren't particularly colourful, but I like it.

Watching the river traffic from my house (lucky me).

The smell and sound of proper coffee bubbling up in my stove-top Moka pot.

Listening to The Archers omnibus on Sunday mornings.

I'm only 46 and I reckon I've got old age nailed already.

Mine are slightly older now but I still remember a sunny Saturday morning when I drove to the supermarket all by myself, kids at home with dad. with no bag - I felt so free! I had two under two at the time and spent all my time lugging bags of stuff around.

Swimming - especially after work the first plunge into icy pool.

Sitting in Sunshine on a Friday off drinking coffee and if I'm lucky an almond croissant.

Snuggling my now 9 year old DS.

Being outside, walking on the beach, glass of wine, deep soak in my new lavender M & S stuff, clean sheets, washing dried outside, |( love the smell!)smug feeling when house is tidy, can sit down satisfied.Cream tea outside vintage rural tea shop.

Oh, forgot the cuppa, when all is done or you staggering home from shopping or in from serious gardening!Best cuppa though, the one after giving birth!!!

Being able to hang your washing up in the sunshine and bring it in dry later (I need to get out more lol)

DD2 doing my make-up. She might be only 13 but she is very, very good (she should be after watching 1001 tutorials on YouTube).

Going to bed very early on a hot summer's evening, getting into crisp, white bed linen and then reading for hours as the sky darkens outside.

Lazily lying in bed, on a Sunday morning, enjoying the delish smell of DD2 cooking American pancakes for our breakfast.

Snogging with DH. He's fab at snogging, makes me feel like a teenager

Discussing books with DD1. She's due to start the GCSE syllabus this Autumn, and is really starting to get books, on lots of different levels...I have missed chatting about literature, soooo much

Drinking an icy V&T in the garden, smelling the lavender bushes.

An hour in the bath reading a good book on an evening
Getting immersed in a good drama on the TV
Eating dinner outside in the sun
Going to the cinema with DH (very rare these days)

Watching my daft dog sleeping. He lies in the weirdest positions.
