So what do you buy? I need some ideas so I can complete the shopping for tomorrow

Fruit. Plain nuts without salt or for a treat tamarin roasted ones. Celery sticks with cottage cheese. Carrot and houmous. Quorn cocktail sausages. Fruit salad made at home

2boytrouble · 20/05/2017 15:18

I've brought rice cakes in the past, they're still in the cupboard! The quorn sausages are an idea! Maybe some of their sausage rolls too

I don't snack much, at home we only really ever have fruit or (vegan) cheese and butter on crackers, crackers and humous, nuts or olives. Sometimes crisps but not often.

CakeNinja · 20/05/2017 15:18

I always have loads of snack food in the house!
I often make a job lot of sausage rolls and spinach and feta filo triangles at the weekend, some of them make it into lunchboxes during the week.
We have nuts, crisps, biscuits, different types of crackers and cheeses, olives, sliced meats, yoghurts, nice seeded breadsticks, popcorn, can't think what else. But always a lot of choice!
I don't snack during the week, but I do at the weekends.

BeyondThePage · 20/05/2017 15:20

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 20/05/2017 15:21

The DC are currently Troughton through homemade bagel chips, which is a useful thing because we nearly always have a stale bagel or two by the weekend...

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 20/05/2017 15:22

Troughing Hmm

ErrolTheDragon · 20/05/2017 15:27

Dp is constantly complaining that I don't buy enough snack food, personally I don't snack!

So why is it your job to not only buy it but also be responsible for choosing it?Confused DH does most of our shopping nowadays, if I want something specific I ask him to get it. Tell your DP to write a list if he wants snacks. I'd take a bet that a lot of the worthy suggestions so far aren't what he's hankering for at all.

Oysterbabe · 20/05/2017 15:29

I try not to snack but crumpets.

2boytrouble · 20/05/2017 15:30

@ErrolTheDragon I have no idea, I've repeatedly asked him today what he wants, but he's not answered one time!

Fruit , dried fruit , crisps , i make yogurt sometimes or tell him to make a sandwich or cereal

Crispbutty · 20/05/2017 15:34

Crackers, ryvita, roast, crisps, Doritos

Sirzy · 20/05/2017 15:34

Give him directions to the local shop and he can sort his own snacks

Lushka · 20/05/2017 15:34

Ask him what he wants? It's a bit odd to ask strangers what your husband might want to eat!

Allthebestnamesareused · 20/05/2017 15:34

You don't buy enough - he presumably doesn't buy any! Tell him buy your own then!

SummerMummy88 · 20/05/2017 15:41

Scotch pancakes, fruited tea cakes toasted, pikelets, dried fruit , scones, malt loaf or English breakfast muffins. I didn't suggest the obvious fruit or salad items because I assume you buy these already.
