His little shirt

DH picked a shirt from my Next catalogue and I went to pick it up for him. He was at work. So I sent him a picture and said I'd picked up his little shirt (it was for a night out). His mate saw the message and laughed at him and later on sent him a photo of the shirt we was wearing for the night out and said "here is my little tattoo showing shirt".

DH says I've made him a laughing stock but the Dawn doctor often picks up clothes etc for her DH and he doesn't react like this.

Stop using little for OH's clothes.
You can tell him he's a LITTLE ott about the text.
Make sure you make an appt with Dawn doctor. Sounds like you need it.

Its like having a conversation when your pissed and the oher person is sober it all makes sense to you and you get annoyed that the sober person is looking at you like thisConfused

I think I've deciphered what's going on. I'm going to take it as face value and not as a 'comedy misunderstanding' type post. So, that being the case, the OP's dh sounds like he is very thin skinned if he can't take a bit of mild teasing from a friend, and unpleasant to boot, if he then turns it round on the OP and tries to blame her for behaviour from his friend that he doesn't like.

I understand it all perfectly but sad you HAVE to explain who the Dawn Doctor is. It might be irrelevant to you but to us the whole story hinges on it.

Dean and The Dawn Doctor has a nice ring to it.

I imagine Dean to be one of those blokes with too much hair gel and an earring in each ear.

So OP collected the right sized shirt for her DH, texted him to tell him and then in the text she called it a little shirt instead of the smaller shirt. As this is something you would more likely say to a small child than to your DH, when his mate Dean With The Tattoos saw the text, he ripped the piss out of DH and his "little" shirt and later on sent him a photo of himself (Dean With The Tattoos) to DH saying he's got a little tattoo showing shirt. DH is now upset as he thinks his mates are taking the piss. Which they are. I don't know who or what Dawn Doctor is though Confused

What with this and the FLY space/flight seat it's been a pretty confusing weekend all round.

OP next time don't refer to your DH's clothes as "little". And if his mates are really his mates they'll take the piss for a bit and move on to the next thing quickly. Unless they know he's bothered by it, in which case they'll never stop taking the piss.

Sad he sounds like a bully tbh. Not brave enough to stand up to his friend and say he doesn't like being teased, but happy to seethe about it and take it out on you. I'm going to stick my neck out and guess that this type of behaviour isn't a one off?

Dean isn't a slick back hair type, he's shaven headed and looks like a young Freddy Kruger (without the burns)

From the information on the other threads I wonder if it is worth going to a marriage counsellor, it's better to try now while there is still a chance.
On this occasion I can see why your DH is a bit annoyed, but it was an honest mistake and I'm sure his mates will forget about it in a few weeks.
I would still love to know who Dawn doctor is though OP!Wink
