Aibu to suspect my boss of using cocaine

If you had regular one to one meetings with your boss lasting two hours and he went to the toilet twice during those to 2 hours and came back fidgeting with his nose and sniffing would you suspect him of abusing cocaine or is that a really tenuous connection?

TheNaze73 · 10/05/2017 20:46

He's not necessarily on the sniff but, that would be a sign of usage

DailyMailDontStealMyThread · 10/05/2017 20:47

It's a big assumption to jump to. Do you have any other suspicions to add to the weak bladder/runny nose scenario?

TheChineseChicken · 10/05/2017 20:48

I would be more likely to assume he had a cold

ImperialBlether · 10/05/2017 20:49

Does his behaviour change between going into and coming out of the loo?

ThisIsStartingToBoreMe · 10/05/2017 20:49

It can't be a cold though coz he does it all the time. He's young (30) and ambitious and competitive and we work in a very fast paced and stressful industry

I'd assume cold, sinus issues unless other things pointed to coke. Tbf if it's not affecting how he does his job then leave his toilet visits to him.

SaucyJack · 10/05/2017 20:50

Is there anything else to go on?

Maybe he's allergic to the washing powder you use?

ThisIsStartingToBoreMe · 10/05/2017 20:51

He seems more pleasant when he comes back not that he was unpleasant before if that makes sense

OP posts:
Babyroobs · 10/05/2017 20:53

Maybe he has a prostate problem and a post nasal drip !!

DontTouchTheMoustache · 10/05/2017 20:53

Do you work in a dairy based company? If so that is my wanker ex and yes Grin
If not it could be hayfever...

HildaOg · 10/05/2017 21:04

Sinus or hayfever would be the first thing on my mind but it's hard to say when we can't see him.

ProseccoBitch · 10/05/2017 21:10

I would definitely think he was taking coke in the loo and I speak from experience.

BlondeB83 · 10/05/2017 21:24

Based on your info of the industry, highly likely.

BlondeB83 · 10/05/2017 21:24

But I doubt anyone would care unless they were forced to deal with it formally.

Hannahbanana1725 · 10/05/2017 21:27

Sounds likely from the industry, but speaking from experience, sadly no one's likely to care

Babymamamama · 10/05/2017 21:27

No I wouldn't assume that. I would think he had sinusitis or allergic rhinitis.

Iamastonished · 10/05/2017 21:33

I wouldn't because I am naive and wouldn't know how to recognise the signs.

ThisIsStartingToBoreMe · 10/05/2017 21:47

Think I just need to ignore it

OP posts:
BlondeB83 · 10/05/2017 21:49

I think that's the right move.

TwoBeams · 10/05/2017 21:50

I've got awful hayfever and sinus problems. When I take my nasal spray, it clears out my sinuses and my nose runs a fair bit

I've also taken coke in the past though, there's not a massive difference. Look at his eyes.

QueenMortificado · 10/05/2017 21:50

Does he drive a blacked out car and wear a big medallion in a dollar shape?

ShatnersBassoon · 10/05/2017 21:51

I wouldn't think of cocaine.

I often blow my nose when I go to the loo, and probably have a little sniff and check for unwiped bogies afterwards. It's possible I could need two wees in two hours if I'd had plenty to drink.

SmhShakingMyHead · 10/05/2017 21:52

How does this impact you?

sonjadog · 10/05/2017 21:52

If it has just started these past weeks, then I would guess it is pollen related.

PavlovianLunge · 10/05/2017 21:53

I think ignoring it is probably your best bet*, but if something blows up (no pun intended) and questions are asked, you knew nothing, suspected nothing.
