Aibu to suspect my boss of using cocaine

If you had regular one to one meetings with your boss lasting two hours and he went to the toilet twice during those to 2 hours and came back fidgeting with his nose and sniffing would you suspect him of abusing cocaine or is that a really tenuous connection?

I have awful post nasal drip and other sinus issues so often pop out of meetings to sort myself out, talking exacerbates it. I don't think fiddle with my nose a lot but if it's especially runny I get paranoid and check my nose isn't wet Blush

Could be that? Or he could just be a raging sniff fiend! I think you'd have no doubts if he is on it. Does he waffle shit afterwards?

centreyourself · 10/05/2017 21:58

No tiny little bits of residual powder round his nose? Wink
As others have said, by the sounds of the industry it's highly likely. But what sort of action would you take and why?
I have to say that's pretty heavy usage though ...during the day ....leaving meetings ...

SheSaidHeSaid · 10/05/2017 22:25

I know heavy users and even they don't feel the need to sniff off the toilet seat twice during a meeting.

I think you're jumping to conclusions.

megletthesecond · 10/05/2017 22:28

Probably.

I had a manager who used to do coke at work. Pain in the backside.

corythatwas · 14/05/2017 01:21

Some people get runny noses (and an urge to pee) through stress. Some conditions cause bladder weakness and runny noses.

ExplodedCloud · 14/05/2017 01:23

Does it matter? I realise he might make poor decisions if he is but will that affect anyone but him?

Obviouspretzel · 14/05/2017 07:19

So what if he is?

Trifleorbust · 14/05/2017 07:41

I regularly need the toilet twice in two hours. I sometimes have a cold. I would leave it unless his behaviour gives concern.

newdaylight · 14/05/2017 07:47

I'd assume it's cocaine, but I wouldn't do anything about it. It's his business

MillicentMargaretAmanda · 14/05/2017 07:47

I know people who are paranoid about blowing their noses in public and will go to the loo to do this. If he is one of these people and and allergic rhinitis or hayfever then you've got a logical explanation.

Ethylred · 14/05/2017 08:02

I have absolutely no idea about any of this but you should keep us updated in case it's interesting.

NoSandPlease · 14/05/2017 08:46

Sudafed addiction? Very common to be addicted to nasal sprays!

MissWilmottsGhost · 14/05/2017 08:51

Perhaps he got paranoid about you staring at his nose and went to check for hanging bogies 😁
