Just been to Iceland and then off to London next month.
We were going to have a week in the sun in September but found out we're expecting our first baby at the end of the year so will probably have a few days away in this country instead Smile

DragonMamma · 10/05/2017 22:25

We had a week in Cornwall at Easter and have 2 weeks in Majorca booked for August. I can't wait to get some r&r and more importantly, some sun!

MiniCooperLover · 10/05/2017 22:36

Majorca in 2 weeks for 2 weeks for us. DS will miss a couple of days end of half term and a couple start of next half term.

AnythingConsidered · 10/05/2017 22:40

We are doing a touring holiday of Vietnam, Thailand & Cambodia. As my DD gers older, I feel more confident in breaking away from traditional beach/pool/AI/Florida holiday.

We did a tour of India last year & it was amazing. Fingers crossed the same again.

We have a home in Bulgaria so have spent the past 7 years there . No where near sunny beach thank fuck. Went for the day and it was like Blackpool but hot.
I can't wait to see our neighbours , sit under the grapevines drinking raki and eating bonitsa . Learnt the lingo too which was interesting

BeeThirtythree · 10/05/2017 23:13

Lake District for a relaxed mini family break. Egypt to see great Pyramid o Giza...complete the bucket list of seeing the 7 classic wonders of the world! Portsmouth for the Victorious Festival, Isle of Wight festival and Christmas in Lapland... DD2 first time! A bit nervous of flying with a 14month old for the first time but have read plenty of advice on MN, I can do this...🤣 Will be great to have my little family enjoying it all together.

THis summer is a summer of excess for us- we have been asked on a friend's boat in Otaly for a week, then our teens plus friend each flying out to meet us for a 10 day med cruise, then coming home and after that then dh is chartering a boat in south France and taking family to celebrate his big birthday. I think we'll be broke by September!!

Aroundtheworldandback · 10/05/2017 23:17

Italy not Otaly!

avamiah · 10/05/2017 23:20

Bournemouth/Sandbanks ( end of May for a long weekend)
Summer ( Bournemouth and Edinburgh)

Haudyerwheesht · 11/05/2017 02:02

hulababy when you go to niagra falls focus just on the waterfalls. If you look at the town of niagra its self it's horrible and really ruined my experience. It's a bit like a really shit Blackpool. The falls themselves are pretty awe inspiring though and if the maid of the mist is still running then I'd recommend that for sure.

PotahtoPotayto · 11/05/2017 02:50

Russia in July!

mmgirish · 11/05/2017 05:27

I'm so excited for the summer holidays this year. We live in S.E. Asia and usually come home for the holidays. We're staying this summer to save money and I can't wait to enjoy OUR holiday in the way WE would like to instead of the 29 hour journey door to door and staying with family.

We're going on a road trip around North Eastern Thailand, a few days in Bangkok and they going to explore some Southern Islands that we haven't been to before.

Chrisinthemorning · 11/05/2017 05:29

Menorca in a week, for a week. I'm really looking forward to it but having a slight panic about the weather. It's quite early in the season and it's lovely at the moment but the long range forecast isn't as good.
Any top tips for rainy day things to do in Menorca?
Majorca for 2 weeks in August. Reckon the weather should be good then!
Lapland for 3 nights in December.
We have a few weekend breaks booked as well.

Sleepdeprivedredhead · 11/05/2017 05:49

Wales for half term; Ireland & Scotland as well as some festivals in Summer; France later on. Not decided on Christmas yet as we've had to rule out a few destinations lately. We'd prefer to be going to NZ again but unfortunately getting 3 or 4 weeks without other plans even in (our) summer is difficult.

DXBMermaid · 11/05/2017 05:52

Alphen aan den Rijn in the Netherlands. Staying with my parents as I'm an expat living in a super hot country.

Also going to London to house sit for a friend. Very excited!

onemorecakeplease · 11/05/2017 06:04

Groovee · 11/05/2017 06:31

Salou. We loved Port Adventura when the kids were wee and it could be our last family holiday.

Maxandrubyrubyandmax · 11/05/2017 06:53

Greece for 6 days at end of May.

Yorkshire for a week in July.

US rockies for 2 weeks in Sept.

KimKardashiansArse · 11/05/2017 07:31

Duinrell for two weeks in June Grin. Hadn't heard of it until I saw it mentioned here (a billion times). I'll carry a bottle of gin around with me because it's the only way I can get through the day so I'll be identifiable to other MNetters.

FatCatFaces · 11/05/2017 07:34

South America for 4 weeks in the summer (Brazil, Bolivia, Peru). Weekend in Istanbul coming up shortly and might go to Cairo for a weekend later in the year. Can't wait.

Next year I need to scale back a lot bit. Have a had some fantastic holidays in the last few years but my God they've cost a fortune.

Bgirl22 · 11/05/2017 07:34
