Maternity Leave and cluster feeding baby has led me into the world of brain rot This Morning, Lorraine and Loose Women.
I have come to feel uncomfortable with the power imbalance of the guests and H&P.
They (H&P) are always slightly condescending towards/ amused by the people who appear on the show- usually vulnerable people (for whom if it wasn't for them the show wouldn't exist) they never share any if the imperfections about their own lives but love getting into the juicy details of the poor decisions of others which really annoys me.
They seem annoyingly squeaky clean and too good to be true.
I wish one day Phil would say, 'And coming up next after the break, I will be sharing about a harrowing round of genital warts I once had and Holly will be discussing her marriage niggles.

I think you're missing the point and being rather weirdly aggressively defensive about Celebrity Juice StillHungry.

Holly being part of the furniture on there is akin to Gloria Hunniford hosting Sexcetera. It just isn't "right".

Lowri Turner is awful too, but she has a lisp/speech impediment so it's not nice to say she does something odd with her mouth.

I too am on ML OP but can't bear to watch ITV in the mornings. I find H & Ps fits of uncontrollable laughter at the slightest thing fake as fuck. It's not even funny, no need to laugh for 3 minutes and pretend you can't breathe through the mirth. Aargh.

I love Eamon and Ruth though.

I just can't watch Eamonn and Ruth. If I was a guest and got booked to be on on a Friday with that pair I would cancel.

Sparkling yes to Holly's husband being the producer on celebrity juice. And he was behind that awful misogynistic comedian who got panned a few years back. But I have forgotten his name.

I think that together, him and Holly have cooked up a way to turn her into some kind of 21st century stepford wife. Ick.

Richard and Judy were both trained journalists and I think that really helped with the quality of the show. Phillip and Holly are just presenters. I really can't bear Phillip at the best of times but he's at his absolute worst whenever there is a mention of the Royal Family. He sometimes even turns to the camera and says "morning M'am'. I have never seen a person more in want of a gong in my life except perhaps Jimmy Saville

Cowgirl did you watch the TV prog with him fawning all over Prince Philip? I was embarrassed for him. Lasted 3 minutes before I switched over.

I saw a clip of it Crispy and couldn't bear to watch the programme.

I'm so glad to see my mam and I are not the only ones who can't stand Phillip and Holly. We both love Eammon and Ruth though. I wish they did it every day, I would watch it much more if they did.

With the exception of Bargain Hunt, I can't stand daytime TV full stop. I agree that This Morning has gone to the dogs and is nothing like as good as when Richard and Judy hosted it. I think that the Fearne Britton & Phil Schofield combo was the start of the rot. It was all middle class simpering and faux friendship and irritating in jokes. Doesn't Phil do some wine column for the Waitrose magazine? That says it all for me to be honest. Holly winds me up with her crying at the drop of a hat.

I do quite like Eamon and Ruth, I enjoy Eamon's sense of humour. I also like Celebrity Juice & don't feel the need to defend the level of my IQ or my feminist credentials because I watch it. I know that it is crude, silly and sometimes offensive but it's just a TV show.

My personal pet hate is when Trinny does the fashion and refers to a pair of shoes as a "shoe" e.g. "We've paired it with a beautiful nude shoe". It's a PAIR of shoes FFS woman!!!

I think Trinny is a bit batshit so I have a soft spot for her and love her a little.
