She's 24 years older than me, AIBU to copy her clothes. She always looks very "together", whereas I don't!

She is so slim but the blonde, stiff hair does her no favours. This woman is admittedly a former super-model but she has a much better look. The dark hair is waaaaaay better as is her style:

In addition, the permanent tan is awful and she looks a bit simian. Must have had some nose tampering done.

Aah, so it's ok for people in positions of power to have otherwise inappropriate relationships with 15 yr olds who fall within their duty of care if the pupil is 'precocious'.

But she did not have an inappropriate relationship with him, did she?

Much as you and some others may wish to read into it, their relationship did not begin until afterwards.

The term 'precocious' has been used about Macron in terms of both his abilities, and the fact that it was he who pursued a woman his senior, not the other way round.

Ines de la Fressange looks better because she is naturally slim, and she is growing older gracefully, not having hard work done.

I don't think Brigitte Trogneux looks amazing, but she does look pretty good for a 65 year old woman. She was never a beauty, and she looks her age, but in a good way. I feel more sorry for her ex-husband who can't be left in peace and who is being discussed for too much in the tabloids.

She looks good in her clothes.

People are always asking for "over 40" or "over 50" dressing tips and the fact is that if you are tall and slim - and particularly if you have lean limbs - then age is not a factor. If you are a bit stumpy... then you're f*ed and are stuck with the Damart catalogue (this will be me).

He fancied her & pursued her when he was 15 & she was his teacher.
His parents were concerned enough to send him away to a different school, but they stayed in touch & got together properly a couple of years later.

As his teacher she should have poured cold water onto any infatuation from her pupils.
He was a pupil of hers, she was in a position of power wrt him at that time.
The onus was on her to not countenance it, let alone encourage it by 'staying in touch'.

Lolita was 'precocious'.

As a person in a position of power, I would expect a teacher (male or female) to be 'able to resist the advances of their precocious pupils'.

So then, Charmageddon, it would appear that the disapproval was because she "stayed in touch", since it seems commonly accepted that she did not have a relationship with him whilst his teacher.

I'm not sure that this is a sufficient or logical reason for the disapproval.

I'm not sure if it's a French laissez faire thing or a rich people can do what they want thing. The articles I've read all refer to him as being sophisticated, their relationship being taboo, them being very discrete.

Also, the private school which she worked in is always referenced but never named....hmm.

A 17-year-old is not a child.

And I don't agree that a teacher is always automatically in a position of power. Power is a very complex thing. And yes, it's part of human relationships - of ANY human relationship.

They look very happy. Good for them.

She looks about 10years older than her actual age. It really must be love.
