Fragrant Diane, she really is the kiss of death.

Phil0Dox I quite agree re the sociopath analogy. They're all a bunch of self serving trample over their granny in a fire sort.

What did you and others think to Dave the Rave's "rustic hut" btw?. A whiter shade of Clunch 🙈😂

^^

Sums her up.

Ncforthispost2005 · 02/05/2017 10:29

But i respect the amount she truly cares about people. She wants the world to be a fairer place.

Fairer like how she opposes selective education but sends her own son to a private school. Is that the sort of fairness you mean?

Waterbeads · 02/05/2017 10:30

"
I would just like to know at out of all the god awful politicians in the U.K. Why she gets the hardiest time? Do you truly think she deserves the hate she gets. Truly?" At least on MN no more than Frage Boris etc.

Ginlinessisnexttogodliness · 02/05/2017 10:30

MrsSeverusSnape I agree. Thought Ferrari hardly even gave her any rope, she just brought her own hangman's noose. It's was shocking the way she tried to accuse him of introducing the figures she's hopelessly bandied around.

RachelRagged

But its ok for Abbot to be racist then ? hmm and racist she IS

Ohhh I was waiting for that old line.

Do you even know what she said? I guess not.

She said that the government wants to divide and conquer. Which is true.

She also said that mothers from around the world could all learn from each other. That in her opinion Caribbean mothers get a lot of things right.

So you think those comments justify years of rape/death threats. Her children being attacked. Her getting hundreds of racist mail a week.

NoLotteryWinYet · 02/05/2017 10:33

gin the bit where she accused Ferrari of coming up with figures was desperately bad. I wonder if she realizes or accepts what a horrendous interview that was?

derxa · 02/05/2017 10:34

I love the hut. The comments on the article are funny.

Two4One2017 · 02/05/2017 10:34

I am not a huge fan of hers, she isn't the best speaker at all and agree she is not helping Labour. But i respect the amount she truly cares about people. She wants the world to be a fairer place. In no way should she be leading the party but we need people like her there.

FFS, if she wants the world to be a fairer place, she needs to articulate her policies to persuade Tory and UKIP voters to vote Labour on June 8th. She needs to persuade taxpayers that the Labour party have got a grip of finances

She has to convince people she's competent, not caring. I think she's failed here.

Ginlinessisnexttogodliness · 02/05/2017 10:36

Derxa you can just imagine him pottering away in it can't you, fingers dancing over the MacBook while Ed Sheeran drones away in the background.
Sorry I feel sick need to go and lie down in a bespoke shepherd hut

Show me someone who talks about "playing the race card" and I'll show you someone who looks uncannily like a racist.

Ncforthispost2005 · 02/05/2017 10:37

So you think those comments justify years of rape/death threats. Her children being attacked. Her getting hundreds of racist mail a week.

I think the comments she gets on twitter are disgusting and she would not get the if she were are man in the same position (as is the case for many female politicians). I don't think anyone on here would support this.

However, this does not make her any more competent or any less of a hypocrite.

Ginlinessisnexttogodliness · 02/05/2017 10:37

Lottery I don't think she will even give a toss about how bad the interview was or what an almighty tit she made herself look yet again. She's got the hide of a rhino.

OP posts:
foodtime · 02/05/2017 10:37

people seem really angry at her school choice.

90% of politicians send their children to private school. Why hate her so much for it. At least she wants to make state schools better. The conservative will destroy state schools.

I went to boarding school and my children will aswell , but I can still care about children in state schools.

Ceto · 02/05/2017 10:38

I've got to admit to a degree of curiosity about Cameron's memoirs and how he's going to treat the fact that he brought the country to disaster by all his decisions around the referendum.

mrsmuddlepies · 02/05/2017 10:38

I have disliked her ever since she sent her son to St Paul's public school and yet maintains that she supports state comprehensive education for all. I wrote to her then to express my disappointment at her 'do what I say not do what I do' attitude to socialism.

Ginlinessisnexttogodliness · 02/05/2017 10:38

Foodtime are you Diane Abbot?

OP posts:
NoLotteryWinYet · 02/05/2017 10:39

Gin Corbyn, McDonnell, Abbott, they must all have. It's amazing. I cannot comprehend the self-belief.

I'd quite like an artisan shed to do great works in - I don't have a garden to put one in though!

MrsSeverusSnape · 02/05/2017 10:40

Gin you're spot on, NF hardly needed to say anything. I can't stand the man, but he'll be rightly walking on air for the rest of the day!

wickerlampshade · 02/05/2017 10:41

No problem with politicians sending their kids to private school. But from what I remember she had banged on for years about how it was so terrible for them to do that, but different for her son because "African mothers will do anything for their kids" or words to that effect.

Ginlinessisnexttogodliness · 02/05/2017 10:41

Ceto I think he'll skirt around that "small trifle" don't you.

YABU. Todays politicians have to be media slebs as well.

RoseGoldProsecco · 02/05/2017 10:44

foodtime - because she was very critical of other MPs sending their kids to private school AND THEN DID THE SAME THING HERSELF, AND USED HER RACE TO JUSTIFY IT, AND CLAIMED THAT MOTHERS OF OTHER RACES DON'T CARE AS MUCH ABOUT THEIR KIDS. that is appalling behaviour, whichever way you cut that cake.

she then tried to justify it by saying that state schools were performing poorly, despite the fact that her own party had been in charge of education by about 6 years by this point.

it's inexcusable.
