Daddyofive update

For anyone who has been following this on YouTube and other social media there is an update on the situation. The family were in court today for custody/ visitation and it seems that Cody and Emma are with their biological mother right now.
I don't know if she has custody of the two kids now but just know they are with her and away from their father and step mother for now. (Youtubers spurpinkle bow/ joy sparkle bs and others are reporting about this ) Having seen so much more of the abuse than what was reported in the media I'm relieved the kids are away from that situation. I know the kids will need a lot of help but having something good after all those vlogs in which the kids were abused is brilliant.

I read a bit of the last thread about this and I'm glad to read your update.

CatsRidingRollercoasters · 01/05/2017 20:30

Excellent news! I didn't realise she wasn't the biological mother as hadn't been following that closely. Are the other kids hers biologically?

littlemissangrypants · 01/05/2017 20:36

The older kids are mommyofives kids. Cody and Emma are the youngest. So far we know that the day daddy and mommy were on good morning America giving an interview the biological mother got emergency custody of the kids. It just makes me fucking rage that the "parents" thought it was more important to go on TV than fighting for their kids. Those people seriously make me angry.
I bloody hope those poor kids get therapy and a permanent safe home to grow up in.

Thank fuck that's a step in the right direction.

They just need the rest of the kids taking off them then jailed for child abuse.

Pooh2 · 01/05/2017 20:40

Thanks for the update. Those poor children Sad

SailAwayWithMeHoney · 01/05/2017 20:43

Thank you for the update - what a relief. It's a step in the right direction for little Cody and Emma. Hopefully now they can stay with their mother and get the help they will undoubtedly need in dealing with everything that has happened to them. Flowers

littlemissangrypants · 01/05/2017 20:45

It also looks like mommyofives exh is attempting to get custody of his kids with her or at least change visitation. She is in court today dealing with this.
I always felt like the older kids were getting a lot of shit on YouTube and the media for hitting the younger two which was very unfair. They were doing what they were raised to do and frankly probably didn't want to become victims too. All those kids have been so damaged by those parents.

It's really unusual for mother's not to get residency, I'm wondering why Emma and Cody weren't living with their bio mum in the first place?

snorymcsnoreson · 01/05/2017 20:53

Papaya - apparently it was because of forged documents after failing to return after contact.

Neverknowing · 01/05/2017 20:53

Seems strange to me their biological mother didn't go for custody after viewing the videos. She may well be just as bad Sad poor kids.

MusicToMyEars800 · 01/05/2017 20:56

I hope they are in a better environment now, but sadly we just don't know Sad I hope the older kids get away from them too!

elephantoverthehill · 01/05/2017 20:57

Thank you for the update. For those poor children it is just the start back to normality, hopefully.

SandyDenny · 01/05/2017 20:58

I was unaware of this family before your previous thread, it's great to hear that the poor children may be getting away from that toxic house

Maudlinmaud · 01/05/2017 21:02

I'm torn about this too. I watched part of the clip of the bio mother and her lawyer, she seems to be very shy and my heart went out to her a little but why didn't she fight to have her children returned before now? It's possible I don't understand the full story and she may not have had the support to do so. Mike and Heather disgust me and I really hope the children recover from this.

Benedikte2 · 01/05/2017 21:14

I was one of those who read your thread little miss and I signed the petition and emailed SS because I felt so strongly about the case after seeing just a few minutes of the videos. No doubt the public outcry helped the bio mother's case.
Was the Good Morning America about the alleged abuse ie were the o'Fives trying to justify their parenting?

FeedTheSharkAndItWillBite · 01/05/2017 21:19

I read a thread on mumsnet about this and watched a few youtubers reporting about it.

Thank you so much for your update. I hope Cody and Emma are in a good/better hoome now... And I hope the other children get help as well.

monkeywithacowface · 01/05/2017 21:20

I haven't watched any of their youtube videos I think it would be too hard to watch. Have just watched the good morning america clip and another video of them apologising. The way they have structured the apologies sounds just a little too perfect and well scripted to me;, they are saying all the "right things" a little too eloquently they remind me of a politician whose just been caught with their pants down and are managing the fall out.

MrsTerryPratchett · 01/05/2017 21:23

From what I've seen the two in the videos are dreadful bullies. So goodness knows what lengths they went to with the biological mother.

Let's hope the older children get some input after this as well. Being taught to abuse the younger children won't be easy to get over.

youarenotkiddingme · 01/05/2017 21:25

I was on the original thread.

Well done everyone who's been part of this and helps 2 children have a better future.

TinselTwins · 01/05/2017 21:26

As I understand it custody battles in the USA can be "dirtier" as the outcome is often full custody to one or other rather than shared?

Where in the UK it would be unusual for a parent to not have any form of joint custody, in the USA it doesn't always mean that the one that lost is unsuitable

Peanutbutterrules · 01/05/2017 21:27

Thanks for the update. I read your thread and it sounded awful. Good to know the kids have been removed.

VelvetThunder · 01/05/2017 21:34

Thank you for the update. I was on the original thread and I'm so glad to hear that things have taken a positive turn already. I am so glad to hear that Cody and Emma have been removed from the situation and I hope that all the children get the support they need. Flowers

Gallavich · 01/05/2017 21:37

Thank fuck for that. Those poor kids needed intervention.

Meeep · 01/05/2017 21:37

I heard an interview with the mum where she was too shy to talk but her friend -also present- passed on that she had asked daddyofive to take Cody for a year because he'd never previously seen him or had any access and Cody was very difficult, due to ODD. She didn't want to deal with it all anymore. Then she said he tricked her in some vague way, and got permanent custody, then he did the same with the youngest, Emma, somehow, again all vague.

Tbh, she sounded crap too unfortunately.

treaclesoda · 01/05/2017 21:41

So the couple have three older kids and then the dad has two younger ones with someone else, but he's still with the mum of the older kids? That's quite an unusual set up to start with.

They sound awful, I've read about them although I couldn't bear to watch a video to see it in action. I hope the children have a happier home life from here onwards because it sounded grim.
