For anyone who has been following this on YouTube and other social media there is an update on the situation. The family were in court today for custody/ visitation and it seems that Cody and Emma are with their biological mother right now.
I don't know if she has custody of the two kids now but just know they are with her and away from their father and step mother for now. (Youtubers spurpinkle bow/ joy sparkle bs and others are reporting about this ) Having seen so much more of the abuse than what was reported in the media I'm relieved the kids are away from that situation. I know the kids will need a lot of help but having something good after all those vlogs in which the kids were abused is brilliant.

Keyboard warriors (and youtubers) coming up trumps for these poor kids. Great news-here's hoping they get love and support from here on in.

Let's hope the authorities will be keeping a close eye on all of the children and they get what they really need.

both mother. and father (can't keep up with who is step) seem very disturbed. I hope the children are safe. An utterly horrendous story. I so want these children to have better lives but also to see that their parents were probably. victims of abuse.
The fact that the abuse of these children has been documented on youtube needs some thought about how/ why this happens.

I'm glad the children have an escape from this. Awful.
What I find almost as incomprehensible as filming and posting the abuse is the ppl who are deriving entertainment from it - even if it wasn't 'real' who thinks watching abuse, or simulated abuse is entertainment?

Ah, got it now! I thought the older ones were both his and hers and I couldn't get my head round it at all.

I didn't start the original thread but was just very affected by the kids story. I think the mother has some intellectual disabilities ( that's my understanding from watching interviews with her) and think she just didn't understand or could fight to get them back.
All the support from youtubers has given her access to support and legal help she didn't have originally. She seems to have a loving and supportive family which will hopefully give her a fighting chance of keeping the kids.
I don't know who those kids would be best with but abused kids need stable and loving homes. I've been in Codys situation and know how hard it is to overcome childhoods like that. Both those kids need love and support to make sure they can build normal functional relationships. I have read so many comments saying Cody will turn in to a school shooter and a murderer. He's been written off as a lost cause and a future abuser. I really have my fingers crossed for both those kids. No kid should ever be written off as a monster due to abuse they have suffered.

From what I've read, bio mum has MH issues, quite severely at one point, which contributed to Daddyoffive getting full custody whilst she was unwell. Bipolar I believe.

Very sad. I hope she gets support to be able to parent the children and to give them the support they need.

I followed this, signed the petition and emailed. I'm really glad the two youngest at least are safe for now. Hopefully the biological dad of the oldest three gets them. All give kids will be scarred by this. They'll need a lot of support, hopefully they'll get it.

Im so so glad theyve been removed from those awful people, those poor kids being bullied and then having the videos put online to make their bullies money from their suffering just broke my heart.

I really hope it isn't a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire. Hopefully they are much happier now.

this is the first time I've read it in the news, and the first time I've seen this disgusting people, they look like those sorts of psychopaths you see on the American crime programmes.
