M&S are awful. For years 15 years i was wearing a 40a when i was really a 36d because of them. Then when i got pregnant and went for another fitting they told me i was umbra-able and should try a vest. I left crying.

I once got asked to leave the M&S lingerie changing rooms because they thought I was a boy! Sad

Years ago, M&S put me in a 46E bra, and while I'm the same size now, I wear 40G (or 38H, depending on the bra).

Measure yourself, and use that as a starting point. I find some styles of bra no good for me, so will try on loads to get something that's comfortable.

I used to have backache and sore shoulders from the straps. Not any more.

Never again at M & S. They told me that if a bra wasn't fitting to go up a size and down a cup size.

I went to John Lewis at Bluewater last year for a couple of strapless bras for my holidays. The lady there was brilliant and I ended up with a couple of multiway bras that fitted perfectly. The good thing about department stores and independent shops is that they have different makes so it makes it easier to get a good fit, whereas M & S only have M & S bras so there's no alternative.

I'm going to M&S on Saturday to buy a new bra. This thread is useful.

Ditto re M&S - same thing of too large underbra and smaller cup size. Bravissimo are much better but their plain ones are all encompassing and their colours (until this last catalogue) bizarre.

M&S had me in a 36a. I wear a 30e or 32dd. I think their fitters live up to my name!
