I have 50 minutes exactly to get this guy to ask me on a date

What do I do?

He's been here a week in supply work. Instantly thought he fancied me as he always chose to sit by me. He would wear headphones when on his own but when I sat down immediately took them off and sat next to me. But he never ever spoke to me.

We both spent every lunch hour sat in silence, blushing the entire time and awkwardly avoiding eye contact. I'm the most extrovert person you can find but I can't even speak to him. He makes me too nervous.

I'm not completely sure he fancies me but I think he does.

He leaves work in 50 mins. I don't work in his department so not really appropriate for me to say goodbye as I've not even spoken to him.

What the hell do I do? . I promise I'm not 13!!! Grin

So. You can't ask him and you can't drop him a note so you're pretty stuffed really

I'd write my name and number on a note along with ' drop me a line if you fancy a chat sometime' and just pop it in an envelope and either hand it to him or leave it on his desk. Make sure you do it at a time when you definitely won't bump into him again

upperlimit · 25/04/2017 15:35

Give me his email, I'll ask him out for you Grin

Hopelessromantic1988 · 25/04/2017 15:36

I don't know his email. I'm just going to enjoy th last few minutes of perking.

He's opposite me now at our meeting.

Email him all bright and breezy and ask if he wants to go for a drink. Unless he's sitting beside you in which case an email would be weird and you'll have to physically ask him.

DO IT!

PeachMelba78 · 25/04/2017 15:37

I agree with January. If you won't speak to him, or him you, then you won't get to ever find out. Why would anyone be embarrassed that you fancy him (he would be flattered at the very least!)
It's up to you, but faint heart and all that!

humblesims · 25/04/2017 15:38

Write your number on some paper and walk up to him (brave brave brazen it out hold your breath if you have to) give it to him. Eye contact "Here's my number if you fancy a drink sometime" Walk away and collapse in a heap out of view. Just do it.

123MothergotafleA · 25/04/2017 15:38

Just do it. "Do you fancy going for a pint after work today" or some such.
That's it.

Krimbler · 25/04/2017 15:38

Yes do that ^^ with your phone number.

upperlimit · 25/04/2017 15:38

Throw him the glad eye. Job's good'un.

toffeeboffin · 25/04/2017 15:38

Er, fbook him?

PeaFaceMcgee · 25/04/2017 15:39

When I was a teen I imagined everyone I fancied liked me back but I'd never spoken to them. This was fantasy and they didn't even notice me, let alone fall at my feet when I gave the slightest encouragement.

Don't be so self-absorbed and make an effort!

Hopelessromantic1988 · 25/04/2017 15:39

He doesn't have Facebook.

neonrainbow · 25/04/2017 15:40

Just do it you won't see him again so if he says no then at least the embarrassment will be short lived

123MothergotafleA · 25/04/2017 15:40

See, we've both said "just do it " !!!!

upperlimit · 25/04/2017 15:41

He doesn't have Facebook

Shit, ask him out before you have to send a carrier pigeon

Ollivander84 · 25/04/2017 15:41

Piece of paper with your phone number on, chuck it at him at the last possible minute before he leaves and say "if you fancy a drink sometime?"
You'll never see him again then anyway. I'm a complete wuss with asking men out and I could manage that!

GrimmDays · 25/04/2017 15:41

You have to ask or accept there's no chance I think at this point. You've been given several options here. Get your big girls
Pants on and do it or accept that you let him go.

Foslady · 25/04/2017 15:41

Ask for his phone no and then text.

Better to ask and possibly get a date then a lifetime of what if.......

bettytaghetti · 25/04/2017 15:41

Just ask him out for a coffee. What's the worst that can happen?!
And never mind diagrams, this thread is useless without pics, if he's as hot as you say!!

Krimbler · 25/04/2017 15:41

Seeing as he's sitting opposite you I don't suppose you could take your knickers off and do a bit of Sharon Stone leg uncrossing fanny display? It worked in the film, I'm sure you wouldn't be given a formal warning or anything...

HDAM · 25/04/2017 15:41

Do it girl!

Better than never knowing!

PerpendicularVincent · 25/04/2017 15:42

FGS ASK HIM OUT

Krimbler · 25/04/2017 15:42

Or rather, get your big girl pants off.

Hopelessromantic1988 · 25/04/2017 15:42

We're in a meeting room. Not an actual meeting.

It's a small table. He's resting his hands on his head and reading some notes. Seems deep in thought.

He's probably gay. Everyone I find hot must be gay. Or not even single.
