Smart shoes, smart fitted trousers, shirt and v neck jumper. It's just yummy. 😍

You're welcome to him & that look' OP

Far too 'skinny preppy' for my liking.

scaryteacher · 25/04/2017 15:46

Mess kit (military) with tight trousers, boots and spurs, Yum

MakeItStopNeville · 25/04/2017 15:48

I don't like my man to look as if he's on his way to school! You can't beat a hot 40 something guy in an expensively tailored suit and shoes and no tie. DH always looks smoking Monday to Friday. Unfortunately, come Saturday, the Lycra comes on and his inner Mamil comes out! Grin

VanessaBet · 25/04/2017 15:50

Sadly the fashion for breeches and tricorn hats was a bit before my time (see Poldark for why this should come back) but as an alternative I'm more for muscled arms in a nice semi fitted t-shirt, jeans and boots.

MrsTerryPratchett · 25/04/2017 15:52

Nothing beats a man in a kilt with decent calves.

I'd take a nice white shirt and old jeans but a kilt is by far the best.

Camomila · 25/04/2017 15:52

That's DH standard work outfit, but with black shoes and a spare tie in his bag. I'll let him know Grin

TheSnorkMaidenReturns · 25/04/2017 15:52

First guy pictured looks like a schoolboy!

Krimbler · 25/04/2017 15:57

After much deliberation I'm going to plump for jeans, fitted but not skinny, and a shirt in a plain colour, no florals or wacky motifs although plaid is okay. And the shirt must be tucked in! I hate billowy shirts that look like little nighties.

The above outfit will look best on a broad shouldered athletically built gentleman of approx 6 feet.

Krimbler · 25/04/2017 15:57

And I'm partial to a rolled up sleeve showing off strong forearms.

sparechange · 25/04/2017 15:58

I agree with peachgreen
Chunky knits on a good body. Ngghhhh

xForsythia · 25/04/2017 15:59

the jumper looks like it belongs to a school uniform.

The whole outfit would look ok-ish on a teen boy, but I prefer men Grin

Hopelessromantic1988 · 25/04/2017 16:00

Agreed! 😍

WateryTart · 25/04/2017 16:01

He looks a bit dull, like the lads putting leaflets through doors.

skerrywind · 25/04/2017 16:05

Does nothing for me OP.
Too preppy and schoolboy.

JacobFryesTopHatLackey · 25/04/2017 16:06

Err. No. Its this.
Or just Jensen Ackles in anything.

dailystuck71 · 25/04/2017 16:06

Does nothing for me. DH wouldn't be seen dead dressed like that.

BoyFromTheBigBadCity · 25/04/2017 16:07

The kick back in black tie - jacket off, bow tie undone, open neck. Yes.

UppityHumpty · 25/04/2017 16:07

Jeans, boots, flannel shirt/t-shirt for me too. Love them on men and women

SapphireStrange · 25/04/2017 16:08

Link doesn't work but it sounds a bit Eurotrash. Like South Ken on a weekday lunchtime.

I don't have a 'hottest look'; it depends on the man wearing it. A lot of men look their most bone-jumping-worthy in a good suit, but more casual looks suit others better.

I think Robbie Collin, film critic, is oddly hot in his slightly loud suits and shirts.

CountryCaterpillar · 25/04/2017 16:08

Can anyone make that first link clicky?

I love the posh suit, crisp white shirt, no tie look. Unfortunately my husband wears jeans to work!!!

BananaThePoet · 25/04/2017 16:09

I like a man to look like a grown up. So this does nothing for me. I used to be a teacher and spent my working life surrounded by pimply youths who looked like this. As sexy as a cold bowl of rice pudding in my opinion.

Krimbler · 25/04/2017 16:09

This is the OP's picture. School prefect chic.

CountryCaterpillar · 25/04/2017 16:10

I really don't like flannel shirts. Like the t shirt under thin jumper look but my husband says he gets too hot and prefers just a t shirt. Doesn't have same effect...

SapphireStrange · 25/04/2017 16:10

Oh, he looks quite good. But it's because he's young, slim and well groomed and styled. Many blokes would just look like their mum had dressed them.

CountryCaterpillar · 25/04/2017 16:11

Thankyou. No I don't like that. I feel I ought to as I like the jumper in theory. Maybe it's the colour and shape of the trousers. Or brown shoes.
