Urghhhh. This quote seems to have reared its ugly head again (in my life at least, twice on fb and once on IG) .

Clearly Ms. Moss has never eaten a millionaires shortbread from the M&S café...

I agree with her.

KickAssAngel · 21/04/2017 22:07

Even Kate Moss didn't agree with it. She said it, and added (paraphrase) "you try to remember that, but it just doesn't work. I always eat the food."

..and throw it up 5 mins later

Couple of years ago on holiday with ex's family my then 7 year old asked us all our fave quotes. Along with lots of lovely and sappy ones my ex mil said her fave was "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" 7 year old was Confused i hate that ridiculous quote on so many levels and I took the piss a lot out of ex mil for that but it does sum her up as the boring weight obsessive moron she is Hmm

They are dangerous and 'triggering' words, but like a few others on the thread, I do get the sentiment. Being slimmer/not overweight is WAY better than over-eating all the time, and being 16 stone plus.

At a lesser weight and size, I look and feel so much better, I am healthier, I look good in anything I wear, and I am happy with how I look in photos.

It baffles me how anyone could be happier fat than they are slimmer.

JMO.

I don't think anyone is happy being fat, they just try to convince themselves they are. Have a bit of shit in small amounts and workout and you feel good.

CiderwithBuda · 22/04/2017 14:21

Grin. There was a tough love weight loss series of threads on here about 7 or 8 years ago with that quote as the title.

If you amend it to "nothing tastes as good as slim and healthy feels" it's not too bad.

I find it reminds me that yes chocolate digestives are yummy but won't help me lose weight. And will still be around when I've lost weight.

Unfortunately I'm still overweight! I'm actually trying to remember that and similar phrases at the moment. More based on health though.

ALemonyPea fucking hell that's amazing! Well done.

I'd love to hear how you've done it - I am currently trying to motivate and organise myself into shifting 4 stone. I find it very difficult to loose weight so I love hearing about other people's success stories :)

MumBod · 22/04/2017 19:30

Thing is, if I was earning shitloads on the back of being skinny, then being skinny might feel really fucking good.

As things are, if I was skinny I'd still have a nose like a builder's elbow and a chin you could lay a table on, so pass the chocolate, cheese and wine, thank you very much.
