Just that really. If you had an unlimited budget, which property would you want?

Today I like this one: www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-58856248.html

I would need to change some of the wallpaper though so it isn't perfect.

I am going to have this one www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-54245794.html as my main residence (although some rude person has gone and bought it).

This www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-64525454.html will be my city pad (used when I need a break from the country).

Crunchymum · 17/04/2017 23:29

Not too keen on the "open" bathrooms in the Clerkenwell one Shock

Batghee · 17/04/2017 23:33

Oh my days!! The suicide house in Keighley is amazing!!! That would be my top pic. Im sure loads of people have died in there as its very old. Hopefully all the ghosts will keep each other company instead of bothering me!!
Loving the random bungalow it comes with too!

Emmageddon · 17/04/2017 23:37

@Batghee I'll come to your housewarming but I won't stay over if you don't mind Wink

Batghee · 17/04/2017 23:37

OH MY GOD Dorcasthepuffin i used to live in that first one you have posted!!!! I genuinely did!!! its next to the foss it used to be a bunch of flats!
I can tell you that it looks beautiful but the noise is ridiculous. From the geese who start banging on at 5am each day and from the street.

PickAChew · 17/04/2017 23:41

Dorcas, the stocked wine fridge in the Barnes property has won me over :o

www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-49737142.html

It's been sold now, but it's in a lovely location with fab views

FairytalesAreBullshit · 17/04/2017 23:44

This is really hard as I have 2 extremes, one would be a lovely cottage by the sea, enough room for me to have a really comfy sofa I can sleep on with open fire. It would have a room that would be dedicated to books, plus other hobbies. I wouldn't need a fancy kitchen, just something basic, maybe a few rooms so I could say to stressed out MN'ers, have a holiday free on me.

The other side of the spectrum would be a Stately Home like place, so it would have a superb library, a room downstairs again similar to the smaller house, or perhaps a big room where the walls were lined with book cases, one end I'd have cupboards with hobby related things, plus a fire, a comfy sofa, other matching chairs so like minded people could share my company if they wished. Again the rest of the house would be grand, but I'd let people stay for free if they wanted a break, some may even choose to live there. They could organise between themselves what was for dinner as I get fed through my stomach, so don't have need for food, just nice beverages.

The gardens would be beautiful and accessible, I would have someone who loved horticulture to tend to this, also tenant Farmers who paid no fee. It would be like a co-operative where everyone helped one another.

Jolting back to earth there's a third option which is very real, since I'm separating from hubby. It's really nice, I really hope my wishes come true and I'm able to negotiate the place I've fallen in love with.

I sleep downstairs, so would have little use of a big property, but I love the idea of a co-op where I helped others, by return they would seek to help others.

I'll have a mooch on Rightmove and see if I can find examples of both.

Realistically I'm just looking for somewhere in scenario 3 where DC have access to nice rooms, I have room for bookcases and cupboards to keep stuff in. I'm waiting on finding out if what I've found is viable to be made more accessible.

ZilphasHatpin · 17/04/2017 23:49

Oh that east twickeham one is amazing!

ZilphasHatpin · 17/04/2017 23:51

I miss living in a Georgian property... #firstworldproblems

PickAChew · 18/04/2017 00:18

I had that pretty much identical germolene pink suite in a bathroom, Comedy - lovely deep porcelain bath!

Now removed for a white one, of course, but the matching bog bowl had already had to be replaced, as it was cracked.

PickAChew · 18/04/2017 00:20

Even better wine storage than that last one, kitty :o

ZilphasHatpin · 18/04/2017 00:21

Oh kitty I really hope all those servant bells work! I would be forever re-enacting the scene from disney's Cinderella. Grin

ZilphasHatpin · 18/04/2017 00:22

Could you all now please provide links to your get rich quick plans. I need to buy one of these houses.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 18/04/2017 05:37

Oh God OP I only came on to say that yours gave me the willies. I just thought "that's haunted as fuck."

heron98 · 18/04/2017 08:11

This isn't that extravagant (although there is no way on earth I could ever afford it) but it's the most expensive house near me and I love it!

FairytalesAreBullshit · 18/04/2017 08:26

This is like an actual home I want to move into, over a stairlift you could easily pop a lift in. It has everything I need, from the living space to a wee bit where I could easily do my sterile bits.

So totally in love this this.

morningtoncrescent62 · 18/04/2017 08:36

Wow, that Twickenham one is quite something. And I see it's POA - if you have to ask the price you probably can't afford it.

Loving the wine cellar in the Edinburgh house - not to mention the servants' bells. And I'm quite taken with both of the Cornish ones too. Must remember to buy those lottery tickets.

My love of a good water feature has taken me here: www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-65807522.html
