To feel like the biggest slag in the world?

Before I met DH I put it about a bit to the tune of 50+ sexual partners. When I go into my local town I often see past conquests.

Today I am at a holiday park 60+ miles away and see someone I shagged 10 ish years ago.

AIBU to feel like the biggest slag in the world? FYI I am female.

There is no such thing as a "slag". It's one of those words invented by men to keep women in their place. You have done nothing wrong, your past is no one else's business but your own.

EverythingEverywhere1234 · 10/04/2017 10:14

YABU, for several reasons. 1. The word slag is vile and shouldn't be used at all. 2. That could have happened if you had one ex or 100. 3. We all have a past.

Lostpangolin · 10/04/2017 10:28

It always made me wonder why it was supposedly ok for me, as a bloke to have had a number of girlfriends, but not for any prospective partner to have done the same. I encouraged our daughter to enjoy her time, but take precautions.
Don't regret anything OP. It all went to making you who you are today.

Karanka · 10/04/2017 10:51

The word slag is vile and shouldn't be used at all.

Depends on one very specific context - if it's a Ray Winstone/Sweeney-esque "Shut it, you slag!" then it's fine.

Anything else, then no, just no.

PrimeMinistersQuestionables · 10/04/2017 11:00

Don't be silly op! You're allowed to fuck whoever you want.
I've had had hardly any sex: with my first DP, who I almost married after 7 years. (Squirms, he was an abusive prick.) My best mate from school, after one to many pints, and my Husband. (And almost had sex with a local mechanic before I met DH but he was suffering a bit of ED) That's three people and we live all live in a village with a population of 1600.
Best mate new me when I was with Abusive DP1, Mechanic knew me when I was seeing Best friend from school, DH was friends with me and mechanic and was well aware of our fling. (Mechanic was even our best man!) and I know full well there are a few people in the village dh has had flings with, (including my hairdresser!) People aren't generally speaking virgins, and you might well see people you've screwed if you've had three, or thirty.
Don't be so hard on yourself
Lots of love.

Years ago I was at a big table with a bunch of friends.....drinks...

Anyhow my friend Carrisa says, "I just realised I've slept with everyone at this table!" We all looked around....hell she'd just come out amongst other things...and outed a few...

Her delivery was great, it was hysterical.

But we made a chart on a napkin...,looked like a suspect board on a detective show.

nonameinspiration · 10/04/2017 11:03

Hi op - you are me Grin

Lonelymummyof1 · 10/04/2017 11:03

I am impressed you remembered him after 10 years !

LettuceMash · 10/04/2017 11:04
Hmm
Beadoren · 10/04/2017 11:07

YABU. It's just sex, you wouldn't feel like that if your were a man.

LanaKanesLeftNippleTassle · 10/04/2017 11:10

@makeourfuture Grin

Thats brilliant!

I have had a few of those moments myself!
You look round the pub and realise you could make a football team out of your "conquests"!

I once nearly "outed" an ex sex partner when she was with her new boyfriend, but realised just in time he had no clue she slept with women as well as men, partly due to the frantic "sshhing" motions she was doing behing his back! Grin

user1490817986 · 10/04/2017 11:15

It's very uncouth, but as long as you are a good person, it doesn't really matter.

Guiltypleasures001 · 10/04/2017 11:21

Bloke I had a threesome with back when I was 17, moved next door to my parents with his wife and kids
Now that's AWKS 😒

Oldraver · 10/04/2017 11:29

I bumped into one in the Co-Op...he was a rather 'rabbit caught in headlights' until DS and OH rocked up and DS started nattering to him

zukiecat · 10/04/2017 12:57

I will be honest and say that years ago I'd have agreed up to a point, would never call you a slag though, that's a horrible word!

I would have thought the same about a man, so no double standards

However, I've matured and wised up and now I couldn't care less about how many sexual partners anyone has had

And I say that as a 50 year old who has only had two sexual partners in my life, one my XH and one a man I met three years after separating from him

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 10/04/2017 13:07

Uncouth? Ffs Hmm
Doesn't matter how many people you've had sex with.

shouldbeashamed · 10/04/2017 15:31

Guiltypleasures oohhh dear Grin

Not just me then!!!! Very funny stories 😂

Guiltypleasures001 · 10/04/2017 20:50

Hi Shouldbe

Errrr no 😜

user1489179512 · 10/04/2017 20:56

OP:
Oh come on, it is a bit sleazy, don't you think? Most men don't actually fancy women like you; they think they should not really go there.

Ava5 · 10/04/2017 21:04

Be proud of yourself. I can't bleeding get 1 sexual partner.

PortiaCastis · 10/04/2017 21:05

user what a bleddy awful thing to post. So men are allowed many sexual partners are they?

shouldbeashamed · 10/04/2017 21:42

Anyway I've decided to be proud of it

In a private way. Where I never tell anyone ever.

OP posts:
user1489179512 · 10/04/2017 21:44

Did I say that?

user1489179512 · 10/04/2017 21:45

It's a well known fact: men think of women as akin to virgins and whores.

user1489179512 · 10/04/2017 21:47

It is no accident that teenage boys frequently use the word "slag" to describe girls with a poor reputation.
