Before I post a link, can someone tell me whether this would be a good idea?!

Hopefully buying Smile

Crikey you could get a mansion in my area for that price!

Objectively putting the price out of my head, its a lovely bright and airy flat. I love the kitchen and the bay windows and original features. It might cost a fortune to heat though!

cannotfindanickname · 07/04/2017 23:42

If you can afford it yes. It looks beautiful and in nice area. If you can afford I am envious

Gorgeous. Expensive! But really lovely.

FourToTheFloor · 07/04/2017 23:43

It's nice but over half a million quid for a 2 bed without any outside space? Bonkers.

I live in zone 3 SW London so I get the London thing but at the moment no way would l spend that sort of money on that type of place.

RicketyCricket · 07/04/2017 23:43

I think it's lovely.

Won't comment on the price as I have zero knowledge about London prices/locations but the flat itself is lovely Smile.

CarrieWatermelon · 07/04/2017 23:44

Lovely flat. Location? Its done up to a high spec and the building seems nice. Assume London?

RicketyCricket · 07/04/2017 23:44

Ooh actually, one mark off for the lack of bath.

Dippitydoodle · 07/04/2017 23:44

It's lovely! Super bright and looks like a really workable space.

HeddaGarbled · 07/04/2017 23:44

It looks lovely. Nice exterior, very well presented rooms. Only caveat is the bathroom looks a bit squashed up - the toilet and shower are touching?

dowhatnow · 07/04/2017 23:44

Yep it is really lovely but it's a flat. But if flats are the only option for that price where you are, then it's definitely a lovely flat.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 07/04/2017 23:45

I like it, but again, would struggle with no kind of outside space. It looks well proportioned and very liveable though.

MarikaPepper · 07/04/2017 23:45

Thanks all - is the price truly astronomical? First time buyer in London (gulp) and wondering how sensible it is as an investment (we need two bedrooms)

Expensive, but lovely flat.

Noisy upstairs or downstairs would be the only the only con, I can think of.

Moanyoldcow · 07/04/2017 23:48

Leasehold? If so how long left? Otherwise stunning flat and I'm super jealous.

MarikaPepper · 07/04/2017 23:50

120 years left I think!

OP posts:
BackforGood · 07/04/2017 23:51

The actual flat looks lovely.
Is the one above you without carpet ? - That could mean noise issues, as could you get complaints from neighbours below you.
No idea about the area, which is crucial really.
What about parking ?

I'm with others who can't get my head round 1/2 a million for a floor of a terraced house though Shock

itsbetterthanabox · 07/04/2017 23:52

Lovely size. Don't know much about house prices in London to know if it's reasonable. Insane for the rest of the country.
Negatives for me: galley kitchen, no bath and single glaze wooden Windows.

Ollycat · 07/04/2017 23:53

Love it! Only questions does it have any outside space and anywhere to park?

Is it freehold / leasehold and if so how many years left on lease? How is upkeep of building (e.g. Roof etc) managed?

Userone1 · 07/04/2017 23:54

Something like this in Kent! I'm now looking at houses to buy!! Which I cannot afford!

MarikaPepper · 07/04/2017 23:54

No outside space but public park next door Smile Not sure about parking but don't own car so fine for the moment
