To cut a long story short,

I am pregnant with my first child and DP and I have chosen two names.

For a girl: Noah
(I understand that many people prefer the spelling Noa for a female but we don't.)

For a boy: Ezra

I am sick and tired of my family telling us to change our minds/names. It's getting me down and making me second guess myself.

Does anyone have any advice?

Will nobody think of the doctors' receptionists?! Shock

By the way, lexi; what's wrong with the names 'Nigel' and 'Sharon?' Those names are fine. Unless you are planning on giving a girl the name Nigel, or a boy the name Sharon.

Nothing just dated names that are virtually unheard of for babies these days and generally of their era. The sort of names people are horrified at the idea of these days, could equally be Maureen and Derek, or Kevin and Tracey.

Love Ezra great name, Noah is also a lovely name, agree with some people it is first taken as a boys name but lots of names are unisex now! Maybe spelling it differently to Noah (boys spelling) might make it more of the girls version of that makes sense?

I think Noah for a girl is more common in the US, not sure what name stats say but it's certainly not the first time I've heard of Noah for a girl. At the end of the day it's your decision but people will always have an opinion
