To delete Google maps from my iPhone?

I tried to use google maps to look for something and found a bloody sodding pakman all over the place.

I never wanted to play with a stupid pakman game when it came out thirty years ago. I don't want it in my face now..I can't get rid of it from my phone.

Google has turned a useful tool into a stupid toy. So they have lost any chance if me using their systems.

I played it on Friday and now although it's there so I could play it if I wanted to, I don't have to.

I have a blackberry x10 and never had this problem. They don't seem to make Google maps for my phone!

What a stupid inverse-snobby comment.

Because if they say what type of phone they have, then someone who knows that phone can tell them what to do to make the changes. What works on one phone brand or OS does not necessarily work on another.

Hadn't noticed you said you had an iPhone. Use Apple maps then.

But really you don't have to do paceman on google maps. It's just available.

Go ahead and delete it. iPhone has its own mapping tool.

But it might be a thought to just turn off features that annoy you.

Well if its anything like my galaxy s7 edge you dont have to turn pacman on at all. Or you could just download another map app.

Oh dear, I never realised it was a thing!!
I say iPhone, as it differentiates between a mobile (which sounds clunky) and a house phone, I guess?

Perhaps I should start prefixing it with 'Apple' just to make sure everyone knows!🙄 (and I'm definitely NOT the type to say, "the Porsche is at the garage, being serviced")
(I don't own a Porsche, nor would I want to!)

I find your level of vitriol bizarre tbh.
Op probably only said what type of phone they had to avoid the inevitable first 5 posts being 'what phone do you have'. It is relevant as she has apple maps already on her phone so can use that. Surely if she was showing off she'd have said the model too?

Google maps is far superior to the Apple Maps imho.
The ms Pacman is fun for 2 min, but pretty impossible in my town (it likes to start you in an area where there is no way out past the ghosts). I won't be sorry to see it go.

Now does it just rely on Android data or is it getting mine too? I read stuff online but can't work this one out.
