To delete Google maps from my iPhone?

I tried to use google maps to look for something and found a bloody sodding pakman all over the place.

I never wanted to play with a stupid pakman game when it came out thirty years ago. I don't want it in my face now..I can't get rid of it from my phone.

Google has turned a useful tool into a stupid toy. So they have lost any chance if me using their systems.

Pacman has turned up on one of my google maps and I don't have any iproducts. I didn't turn it on, it just appeared.

I clicked on it with a 'oh it's the pacman thing everyone's talking about' thought and the pacman died within about 2 seconds making me realise I have totally forgotten how to play pacman, despite playing it a bit in arcades or on prehistoric gaming devices in my youth.

I tried an iphone and I thought it was a bit crap and Apple are weirdly controlling and was a bit embarrassed to own it in case people thought I was the type of person who thought having an iphone was cool.

I could have used Google maps today as stuck in traffic jams. But I can't get rid of the pakthing from the screen. I have searched for how to remove it but there doesn't seem to be any option but to have it taking space on the screen.

A button appeared on my Google Maps to allow you to turn the Pacman thing on, but I didn't try it.

The button now seems to have gone anyway.

Maybe there's a problem with your phone.

I clicked the button for a couple of minutes, chomped my way around St Paul's and then switched it off and went back to normal maps. It's not difficult!

Thing is, I don't want the pakthing on the screen. It covers space I where could see something useful.
