Is it just me, or is her voice very annoying - fake and patronising. Funny thing is but i often agree with her.

If she had professional help to speak like that they should be sacked imo.

It's the condescending tone she uses.

Annoying just to hear irrespective of what she's saying.

WateryTart · 03/04/2017 08:38

YANBU. Dreadful woman.

londonrach · 03/04/2017 08:39

Cant stand her so never listen to her as feel shes talking down to us. . Didnt she and the labour leader (cant remember his name). have a relationship at one point.

ShatnersWig · 03/04/2017 08:39

Yes. And that hand movement she does all the time. Reminds me of Blair who had did that outward facing hand gesture all the time. Never trust anyone with a frequently recurring hand gesture - your eyes go to the hand and not the eyes and mouth to spot the shit being spoken.

brexitstolemyfuture · 03/04/2017 09:02

I haven't even noticed the hands, I'd turn off the TV if she popped up!

makeourfuture · 03/04/2017 09:06

If you are referencing the situation of violence against immigrants, she's highlighting a very real concern.

lemonzest123 · 03/04/2017 09:07

The weird eye rolling! She has to stare up into her head before she can say anything.

Cynara · 03/04/2017 09:09

Appalling woman, I can't bear to watch her.

tsalta · 03/04/2017 09:11

Why does she close her eyes when she is talking?

ElizaDontlittle · 03/04/2017 09:11

I struggle with her too - although I want to like her, and like you OP I often agree with her. And then I tell myself off for being shallow.

I think you do have to have something that makes people want to listen to you in politics, and she hasn't got it unfortunately.

LawrenceSMarlow · 03/04/2017 09:19

I always imagine whoever introduces her is doing it in the style of the Now Show- an incredulous "and Diane ABBOTT!"

EdmundCleverClogs · 03/04/2017 09:26

LawrenceSMarlow isn't it from the Dead Ringers radio show rather than The Now Show? Regardless, it's hilarious. My partner can't stand DA, so loves referring to her in this way.

SoftlyCatchyMonkey1 · 03/04/2017 09:31

Can't stand the woman, contemptuous attitude.

Applebite · 03/04/2017 09:33

she was a great big donging hypocrite about her kid's education and that negates anything else she has to say, for me. can't stand her now.

WorraLiberty · 03/04/2017 09:34

I can't stand her either OP. She comes across as though she's talking to naughty children.

If you are referencing the situation of violence against immigrants, she's highlighting a very real concern.

I'm not sure what that has to do with the thread subject? Confused

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 03/04/2017 09:39

I feel the same about Emily Thornberry

At times she is very condescending other times she is making a very good point but I still find her manner irritating

Plus both Emily and Diane are ardent Corbyn supporters so that increases my irritation

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 03/04/2017 09:41

YABU for agreeing with her in first place.

LawrenceSMarlow · 03/04/2017 09:43

Edmund oh yes, that's right Grin

countrygirl55 · 03/04/2017 09:44

Eugh, she makes my blood boil with her patronising, breathy, sanctimonious voice. She could be arguing that grass is green and I would find her objectionable. I find her and Priti Patel unbearable and there was a stage when I couldn't turn on the radio without one of them being on there!

Nicotina · 03/04/2017 09:44

She's a hypocrite and I can't listen to her. Which is a shame and a waste.
"All Afro-Caribbean mothers go to the wall for their children " was her come-back about private education for her son. And what? Other mothers don't go to the wall for their kids. Horrible thing to say.

BillSykesDog · 03/04/2017 09:53

She should have had the sense to see what was happening before blaming the far right and Brexit for the Croydon attack. I had a pretty strong feeling it wasn't going to be a bunch of white lads when no descriptions were released so I'm fairly sure she could have worked that one out for herself.

Applebite · 03/04/2017 10:12

It was probably a gang, in Croydon, Bill. You know, the exact same thing she "went to the wall" to stop her kid from joining. By which she apparently means paying for private education whilst preaching that other people shouldn't do the same thing because their kids don't need it. Because according to her, only black boys are at risk of getting sucked into gangs Hmm.

Even if it's not them, the chances of it being either the Tooting Tamils or the Jaffna Boys where there's been any sort of ruck in Croydon is reasonably high. Therefore you'd think, with her gang fears, she would have realised the possibility that it could have been this just as easily as it could have been far right, and kept her trap shut until the police released images. How come she thinks of gangs immediately for her own kid, but it doesn't occur to her that there might have been a gang involved in a violent crime?!!

Newsflash for Diane: gangs and violence come in all colours. The common denominator tends to be living in a deprived area, not your melanin levels. So stop making assumptions and wait until the police release details before shooting off your ill-informed gob. Unless of course you just want to use a vicious and sickening attack on an innocent young man for your own political platform??!

Turisas · 03/04/2017 10:24

I Haven't liked her ever since she said those offensive things about Finns a while back.

OfaFrenchmind2 · 03/04/2017 10:31

Cannot stand the woman. But the thing that is biting her in the ass is that is was indeed a hate crime on a poor Kurdish boy. Except the racists, as they were true racists, are not the traditional shaven headed white assholes. They are the other racists that the left does not want to admit exist.

JuvenileD · 03/04/2017 10:32

YADNBU. She's patronising and rude.
