Ex wanting to get in touch - suddenly I feel that there's something dodgy about him

He's 36 and Has been constantly messaging me to say how much he misses me etc. Ive noticed that on FB he's friending quite a few girls (not women) who look about 14 and then liking their photos. Example below. I have a 13 year old daughter and all of a sudden I'm wondering if he's actually got some kind of hidden paedophile type tendencies. I haven't seen him for about 4 years. This is strange isn't it?

If you find it strange, then you have your answer. Trust your gut instinct.

ChicRock · 25/03/2017 18:46

If that's someone's actual photo from FB then you need to report your own post and get that photo removed. Hmm

Canyouseethis · 25/03/2017 18:46

Urm why the fuck are posting pics of young girls here?

Chippednailvarnishing · 25/03/2017 18:46

Has the person in the photo given you permission to include it on a forum where you are making reference to paedophiles?

ThePiglet59 · 25/03/2017 18:46

Stay well clear. Protect your child

pinkyredrose · 25/03/2017 18:47

I think the girl in the pic looks about 17/18 the.

lottieandmia · 25/03/2017 18:47

No, it's just an example.

I don't think we need to see her photo to be honest.

Renaissance2017 · 25/03/2017 18:48

What the fuck are you doing putting someone else's photo on a forum? I assume you have permission to do so?

Take the photo down. It's someone elses picture. It doesn't belong to you.

SmurfPants · 25/03/2017 18:48

reported. That's not on OP.

BewtySkoolDropowt · 25/03/2017 18:48

Who's photo is that 'example'?

chastenedButStillSmiling · 25/03/2017 18:49

Can you just explain the picture? It's not your DD is it? Is it a child you or he knows?

If he has a teenage child, then he's likely to get all his/her mates giving him friend requests. My DH doesn't accept all DDs, but some parents do.

How long ago did you split up?

I do find it a bit odd you've posted a picture of a child, though.

Redyellowpinkblue · 25/03/2017 18:49

I'd remove that persons picture op, could be someone's daughter/relative or friend on here for all you know. How would you feel if someone shared a photo of your daughter or relative without her (or your) permission?

ChicRock · 25/03/2017 18:49

So where did you get the photo from? Did you get their permission to use it in a discussion about paedophiles?

Fucks sake.

lottieandmia · 25/03/2017 18:50

This is not actually from Facebook. What I'm wondering is whether it's normal for a 36 year old man to like the photos of women who look that young? It's not easy to judge someone's age. I'll get it removed but this is a model & it's an example of the sort of age they look iyswim

OP posts:
lottieandmia · 25/03/2017 18:52

I've asked MN to remove it.

I knew this man for years and I'm quite shocked that he's like this tbh

OP posts:
KC225 · 25/03/2017 18:55

If you have not seen him in four years then neither of you said the 'lets be friends then' Four years is quite a long time to suddenly realises he misses you. Why did you break up?

lottieandmia · 25/03/2017 18:58

Because he was controlling. I'm suddenly panicking that he was hoping to groom my daughter's Sad

OP posts:
Chippednailvarnishing · 25/03/2017 19:01

Then just don't have any contact with him.

What a weird thread.

Gingernaut · 25/03/2017 19:01

Block him.

KC225 · 25/03/2017 19:02

Oh Lottie, I think you have your answer. Controlling men rarely change. Is he your DD's father?

Lemonnaise · 25/03/2017 19:02

Don't panic. Ignore him, block him, whatever you need to do.
