I found a lump in my right breast yesterday evening and have been to my GP today.

I was hoping she would say ah it's nothing, however I have been referred urgently to the breast clinic.

She said it's about 3cm and mobile.
Does anyone know what that means?

We are due to go on holiday 2 weeks today.

Wtaf 😞

Sorry, just wanted to say rather than read and run, i read this thread as close to my experience, but feel i need to add that as someone has previously said mobile lumps aren't cancerous and cancerous lumps are always rooted to something, this is not the case and don't want that to mislead any other readers who may find themselves with a lump and put off seeking help. 2015 I went docs with lump, was told pliable (mobile) but still got referred to clinic, 10 days later after several tests i was diagnosed with a tumour in a duct, aged early 30s.
This is not to scare monger as most lumps are innocent, but just to put the awareness out there that moveable lumps can still be sinister so always get checked.

Thank you yerbut I appreciate your honesty. I am quite frankly shitting myself, I just have a feeling that this isn't going to Go my way, which is fine as long as I know what I am dealing with.

I just want it to be Tuesday and to know one way or the other.

Hi Op
I had 2 very large lumps both in the same breast and they turned out to be fiberedinomas which is a non cancerous mass off various tissues and nothing to worry about although I had mine removed as they were large. When my doctor was discussing mine she said that it was good that they were mobile. I think more serious things tend to not be. I hope everything's ok and try not to worry too much x
