To be fed up with austerity and TM

So TM said I'm going to make a country that works for everyone at the same time as shafting education and health.
This government seems hell bent on austerity (which btw has never worked). I'm truly fed up with thus government and TM in particular who seems to have an inability to listen (see grammar school consultation).
AIBU to be totally fed-up. For me the last straw is cuts affecting my children's education. (it feels like the late 80s and early 90s all over again without a credible opposition - I worked in the NHS then and I remember the sigh of relief when the Tories were outed.....)

Just to clarify, when I say 'a reasonable chance' I mean a chance of having enough food and clean clothes, shoes that fit properly, a house where walls are not running with mold and windows are not broken, and decent healthcare when ill.

People who were born to the middle classes, let alone above, don't really seem to believe that all those things are now difficult to obtain on the lowest working incomes. But that is the reality for far too many.

Have the messages of the Brexit vote been forgotten already?

I don't know why you'd think we're the same person

You started a post with "Furthermore". I don't really care as long as you aren't pretending to support your own opinions.

reasonable chance at life

Like free education and affordable education all the way up to post-grad level?

decent healthcare when ill

I think that the NHS is wonderful. I've lived in countries where there really is no healthcare unless you have the money and people who complain about having to wait to see a specialist before getting free treatment need a fucking good shake.

What is the good in trying to be a good contributing obedient legal citizen if all you get in exchange is kickbacks and grinding poverty?

What do you mean by kickbacks? Doesn't this usually mean cash in a brown envelope?

People taking from the state without working are not being contributing citizens.

While you watch people like Blair and Osbourne apparently 'hard at work' with 6 or more full time jobs on millionaire wages?

I have a job. I don't watch Jeremy Kyle either. They have these jobs because they have done better in their careers and did so because they did better at school.

unofficial social contracts and they are all being broken

Can you break an unofficial contract?

Don't you remember the last time someone said 'let them eat cake'?

No. I'm 59.

Have the messages of the Brexit vote been forgotten already?

No, fuck the darkies and their foren ideas!

(MNHQ - don't delete this. It clearly wan't serious!)

Grin

I'm glad you pointed out your post was lighthearted SWOT. Otherwise I might have thought you actually believed this to be true!

By the way I'm not the same person as anyone else not even my twin.
Pretty poor show accusing people of being the same person because they happen to agree and disagree with you wetunwindee

Kickbacks. Oops. Yes, I should have said knock backs, or found a better phrase. Loving every bit of that satire. Sadly for some it's gone a bit beyond a joke.

LostSight

Only the last part was not serious, as I'm sure you knew!

Pretty poor show accusing people of being the same person

It wasn't so much as accusation as assuming a NC mistake.
