MargotMoon · 19/03/2017 21:33

There is no winning 'answer' - people call it different things; nobody is right.

Depends where you are, there is no set answer.

For me in the south East it's lunch, or on weekends brunch.

justdontevenfuckingstart · 19/03/2017 21:35

Lunch

SlaveToDisney · 19/03/2017 21:35

If you ask me dinner (and then tea later) If you ask DH lunch (and then dinner later) Obviously I am right though and it is dinner Wink

Patriciathestripper1 · 19/03/2017 21:35

Dinner.
Up north we had breakfast 8.30 ish, Dinner 12.30ish and Tea 5.30ish.
Dh (down south) had breakfast, lunch and dinner. Anything eaten after 7pm was supper but he's a posh twat

witsender · 19/03/2017 21:36

Breakfast, lunch and supper. If you go out in the evening it is dinner.

1981trouble · 19/03/2017 21:36

I tell the kids their lunch is ready, they tell me it's their dinner.

I'm the evenings I tell them their dinner is ready and they tell me it's their tea.

It's like a long running bad dad joke.

UsedToBeAPaxmanFan · 19/03/2017 21:36

Lunch. But 12 noon is very early. Lunch is usually around 1pm. Dinner is in the evening.

TodaysFishIsTroutALaCreme · 19/03/2017 21:37

One of us is in Wales, one in northern England and the other in Brisbane.

None of us can agree

OP posts:
TheNaze73 · 19/03/2017 21:37

It's lunch

RainbowJack · 19/03/2017 21:37

Lunch.

armpitz · 19/03/2017 21:37

If it's a hot meal it's dinner.

Sandwich and fruit and stuff is lunch :)

PavoReal · 19/03/2017 21:37

Until I was 18, dinner. Then moved southwards and it slowly turned into lunch so as not to confuse folk.

LuckyLuckyMe · 19/03/2017 21:37

It depends on whether we are having something light like soup or a sandwich or if it's the main meal of the day.

SmitheringSmithison · 19/03/2017 21:37

Dinner

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 19/03/2017 21:37

I would say lunch but if it's a big meal like a roast then it'd be dinner. Then the evening meal that night would be tea. Otherwise (after a lunch) it'd be dinner. Phew.
