Really close to running out of my stash of Always silk collection unscented pads.

Seems it's now discontinued and everything is scented! WTF has everyone else started using now, instead? :(

I'm lucky to have a pretty light flow, but still need a proper pad rather than a panty liner. Struggling to find anything for normal flow, without wings, unscented.

I really don't want to make the same mistake - I bought a scented pack (it was marked unscented... but odor neutralising... very misleading... I don't trust any of these pads marked "odor neutralising" now...) and had to throw it out straight away, the smell was sick. I know that sounds dramatic, but the smell was... something else. Confused

morrisons own brand arent scented

befairdontjudge · 18/03/2017 18:41

Bodywork or supermarket own brand. Scented gives me an itchy fanny!

purpleporpoise · 18/03/2017 18:41

Diva cup and cloth panty liners
So much less hassle

Moon cup as a pp said it's a game changer!

littlepeas · 18/03/2017 18:45

Echo others to say Sainsbury's or Waitrose own brand are definitely not scented. Scented pads are awful beyond words - I can honestly say I have never smelt menstrual blood on another woman, but I can definitely smell the pads!! The whole aisle in the supermarket smells too. I think they are horrible.

Babymamamama · 18/03/2017 18:47

Mooncup or tampons if I'm out and about without access to the necessary loo with adjacent sink. Hate that wearing a nappy feeling. Mooncup is one of the many pearls of wisdom I have gleaned from mumsnet.

CrazyCatLaydee123 · 18/03/2017 18:49

Another one for Cheeky Mama washable from Cheeky Wipes. And they're pretty! I have one with penguins on.

Their washable wet wipes have saved me a fortune too!

ExcellentWorkThereMary · 18/03/2017 18:51

I use sea sponge and washable pads. I've never looked back! Literally changed my life. Amazing!

Screwinthetuna · 18/03/2017 18:53

Always infinity! Cannot beat them!

PebbleInTheMoonlight · 18/03/2017 18:55

Bodyform here too. It took me a while to figure out why I was suddenly hating Always after using them for 2 decades evil scented things

I'm like a horror movie each month and not had any disasters so sticking with them now.

bakingcupcakes · 18/03/2017 18:57

I feel like I'm missing something as so many posters have suggested a mooncup...

I tried Bodyform but felt they were too thick so using Morrisons own brand now.

Annesmyth123 · 18/03/2017 18:58

I can't use tampons or mooncup. I have a prolapse and they are incredibly uncomfortable. The op might be similar (for all those suggesting those options)

BeyondUnderthinking · 18/03/2017 19:04

Cheap asda pads are unscented. :)

I have a prolapse and can just about cope sometimes with the smallest plastic applicator tampax.

I've been warned away from moon cups with a mirena (the suction...)

PutThatPomBearBack · 18/03/2017 19:11

soft sponge tampons, will never use regular tampons or pads again after reading what they do to your body!

eurochick · 18/03/2017 19:14

I like Boots Cottons the best but not every branch stocks them.

Cagliostro · 18/03/2017 19:16

I like bodyform but was thinking of switching to Tesco own brand as that's where I get my shopping anyway.

tumpymummy · 18/03/2017 19:16

I tried the mooncup. Really wanted to like it, but just didn't get on with it. After having kids I have been 'rearranged' so much down there that I just couldn't get the mooncup in the right place. Tried using tampons when on holiday recently so I cold swim (first time in about 15 years) and I had the worst menstrual cramps ever. So back to towels. I use bodyform too or florette (think I picked those up in Aldi. They are slim and unscented).

busyboysmum · 18/03/2017 19:19

I use a mooncup. Have had it for about 10 years. Bargain.

ChrisYoungFuckingRocks · 18/03/2017 19:21

Early pre menopause lol - I've only had 5 periods in 2 years! I used to use Bodyform I think. I hate those bloody (pun intended) scented things with wings.

tumpymummy · 18/03/2017 19:23

I have never heard of soft sponge tampons. I wonder if they would work if I have had problems with the mooncup and tampons?

jay55 · 18/03/2017 19:24

Tesco own or lilets pads.

hotcrossbun83 · 18/03/2017 19:31

Those who use mooncup, do you have any tips on fitting it? I have a fleurcup and tried it for the first time this month, loved it in principle but had a few leaks. I tried both sizes but realistically after 2 kids I must need the large Blush

newmumwithquestions · 18/03/2017 19:31

Babymamamama I am another mumsnet induced menstral cup convert. Had never heard of them before reading about them on here.

Chrisinthemorning · 18/03/2017 19:32

Always infinity are unscented
