Really close to running out of my stash of Always silk collection unscented pads.

Seems it's now discontinued and everything is scented! WTF has everyone else started using now, instead? :(

I'm lucky to have a pretty light flow, but still need a proper pad rather than a panty liner. Struggling to find anything for normal flow, without wings, unscented.

I really don't want to make the same mistake - I bought a scented pack (it was marked unscented... but odor neutralising... very misleading... I don't trust any of these pads marked "odor neutralising" now...) and had to throw it out straight away, the smell was sick. I know that sounds dramatic, but the smell was... something else. Confused

I use Kotex, but I have a medium to heavy flow, so they may be a bit on the thick side for you.

Lemonjellymoonstar · 18/03/2017 17:40

Always infinity aren't scented. They never leak either.

poorbuthappy · 18/03/2017 17:45

Boots or Asda own brand are good.

Gighasmokedhalibutisawesome · 18/03/2017 17:52

OP you are not being dramatic btw. I find Always-now-scented vile beyond words, totally abhorrent. AND you can smell the scent from other poor women miles away in the workplace and on public transport.
Also been caught out by the odour neutralising versions (you could have me scream from my bathroom when I opened the new packet).
In short I am the mad woman suspiciously poring over the teeny weeny deceptive small print hidden within the marketing bollocks text on sanpro packaging.
Currently using Bodyform and Aldi versions.
Cant understand why P&G (make Always) havent noticed declining sales and not responded to my rage filled emails to customer services
Thank god I am perimenopausal and this horror has only blighted my menstrual life in its last days.

ChasingAPinkBall · 18/03/2017 17:53

Always Infinity are the best pads I've ever tried.
Not plasticky like Always usually are and they're very comfy. Hold a suprising amount too.

SuperDandy · 18/03/2017 17:59

Diva cup, imse vimse reusable pads, tampax when caught out.

I can't bear the scented stuff so resolved to find reusable that worked for me. I tried two different cups before realising the leakage I had was not down to fit but ineptitude - if the cup misses your cervix it doesn't catch much! Likewise tried three pad types before finding the ones I liked.

dudsville · 18/03/2017 18:03

Natracare, you can buy them from amazon in bulk. I also bulk buy when I'm abroad.

SuperFlyHigh · 18/03/2017 18:04

This has been posted about before.

Boots and Sainsbos and I think Superdrug do unscented and so do Bodyform.

Angryangryyoungwoman · 18/03/2017 18:05

Menstrual cup

Branleuse · 18/03/2017 18:06

mooncup and washable pads from honour your flow

JuneJuly · 18/03/2017 18:07

Kotex with wings - normal or super depending on flow, keep a stock of both in all the time (for myself & dd1). They are not scented, like you op I can't bear scented pads or pantyliners. I buy them from Bodycare.

PuppyMonkey · 18/03/2017 18:09

I switched to reusable cloth pads too - game changer. Got mine from Honour Your Flow. So easy to wash.

PeaFaceMcgee · 18/03/2017 18:14

Mooncup, never need any pads

Annesmyth123 · 18/03/2017 18:17

Own brand from any supermarket.

IDefinitelyWould · 18/03/2017 18:17

Mooncup has changed my life. I use with reusable pads for the first 2 days of my period.

kel1493 · 18/03/2017 18:17

Only ever Tampax pearl regular unscented for me.

kel1493 · 18/03/2017 18:17

Hate pads (having to use them after I had the baby was awful)

HemanOrSheRa · 18/03/2017 18:19

Menstrual cup (Meluna) and cushy soft, fanjo friendly washables from Honour Your Flow.

I think the orange pack of bodyform are wingless and unscented. yes they are quack. I use them at a push.

catkind · 18/03/2017 18:26

Boots do some nice plain cotton cover ones. I use those or washable ones when convenient. Both a total revelation after years of using plasticky ones. I used to get sores at the side of my legs and thrush every fricking month.

Maylani · 18/03/2017 18:35

I've just started to use bamboo fibre/fleecy reusables for the same reason. Wonder how I got to my 40s without realising they are so much more comfy!

Frouby · 18/03/2017 18:39

I spent 10 minutes in tesco the other day sniffing pads as it appears they have stopped stocking always infinity which are fab. Bought some bodyform which are ok but not as good.

Ordered 6 boxes of infinity from amazon prime as I really do rate them. They aren't scented but they don't release any odour either which the bodyform did.

ILoveMyMonkey · 18/03/2017 18:40

Washables here too, I buy mine at Cheeky Mama's. I switched when I got sick of trying to find unscented pads to no avail, the nature ones were too short for my liking (I prefer really long pads).

Sweetpotatoaddict · 18/03/2017 18:40

I was in boots the other day suspiciously sniffing the sanitary towels, looking like a mad woman....when I found Always do a sensitive range, which is in same sizes as normal range, stink free and the same price. I nearly did a little skip with joy when I found them Grin
