To kill my neighbours

Keepthebloodynoisedown · 17/03/2017 00:24

I know iabu, but in my defence I've just got out of hospital after having surgery and I'm in a lot of pain and am feeling quite shit and sorry for myself and just want to get some sleep
Our neighbours in the flat upstairs play loud music on average 3-4 nights a week, usually until about 3am. It's not even good music, just repetitive noise with a really heavy bass.
So wibu to go upstairs and murder them in a really slow and painful manner? And are their any brilliant lawyers on here that could help me get off if I do

Murder maybe a little u ...have you tried contacting your local council to report a noise pollution?
Hope surgery went well and good recovery x

Keepthebloodynoisedown · 17/03/2017 00:32

You're probably right, doesn't sound quite as satisfying rn though.
Thanks, all went well, just feeling a little more grumpy than usual I think

I can imagine, glad all went well. And I think anyone would be grumpy with music until that time. I would definitely advise to contact your local council to monitor their nightly events...I wouldn't be happy at level at noise at that time and sure yourself and maybe neighbours aren't too

AntiHop · 17/03/2017 00:51

That level of noise nuisance is unbearable. This might be a silly question but are you sure they realise you can hear it?

Saladd0dger · 17/03/2017 00:56

I don't think you are being unreasonable at all. I have my music on everyday but would never dream of turning it up and being a pest to my neighbours. Give them a knock, they probably know they are been assholes but because you haven't said anything they think you don't care. Hope you feel better soon xx

ItShouldHaveBeenJingleJess · 17/03/2017 01:00

Do you live in a small town in Cornwall? If so, I'm in. I know a guy with a van.

Spam88 · 17/03/2017 01:01

YABU to post about your murder plans in here, you'll never get away with it now...

Aberry · 17/03/2017 01:03

Loud music after 11pm that frequently can be reported to the local police or pcso as noise pollution/breach of peace.
They will send a pcso round to tell them to stfu! The best thing would be to do it anonymously and keep doing it until they get the f'in message! Lol no one wants repeated visits from the police

Jux · 17/03/2017 01:07

Of course you should kill them. It will make you feel much better, and you can cock a snook at them as they lie on the floor, their bodies wracked and twisted with the pain you've inflicted. That'll show 'em.

Hope you egt some sleep.

ItShouldHaveBeenJingleJess · 17/03/2017 01:11

Um...

1forAll74 · 17/03/2017 01:36

I hope you are not thinking about a gun shot murder..the noise will probably annoy your neighbours! Hope you will feel better very soon

sobeyondthehills · 17/03/2017 01:43

Not unreasonable at all. And as luck would have it, I am an excellent lawyer.

Well at least I have watched a fair number of law and order, Judge Judy and Judge Rinder. So that makes me qualified right? I could also be the medical expert, based on my many years of watching House.

Seriously though Flowers I hope you feel better soon

ChrisYoungFuckingRocks · 17/03/2017 02:10

If you don't want to do it yourself, and manage to find a good assassin, please let me know. My upstairs neighbours not so much with loud music, but he shouts very aggressively on his phone in Arabic 'till the early morning hours every sodding night. My poor kids can't sleep. According to the council though: if it's in his culture to speak loudly, there's nothing they can do about it.

2017SoFarSoGood · 17/03/2017 04:20

I'm going to assume that this thread is a red herring and the loud bastards neighbors are already in rigor mortise. Good thinking.

Hope you get some sleep and feel better soon. Flowers

Off to speed read all of Miss Marple in case i am called as a witness...

IamFriedSpam · 17/03/2017 07:34

I think there should be a government funded service that does the dirty work for you in situations like this!

Onthecouchagain · 17/03/2017 07:39

Simply, YANBU.

Rebeccajane14 · 17/03/2017 07:39

Phone you're local council and put in a noise complaint :)

Materdolores · 17/03/2017 07:47

You live in a flat so I presume you don't have a patio?
This could be a problem.

BenjaminLinus · 17/03/2017 08:05

And this is why I miss a 'like' button!

Sylvannas · 17/03/2017 08:37

Do you live in my old flat? We moved out of our old flat in November due to neighbors doing the exact same thing! The lady used to sing during the day as well...I wouldnt mind if she was any good but it sounded like a fox was being interfered with!

Noise after a certain time is illegal anyway.
I'd report them to the council if I were you. Even if you aren't recovering from an operation that's gotta be a pain in the aaarrrse!

flapjackfairy · 17/03/2017 08:42

I have never heard a fox being interfered with so cant comment!

ChrisYoungFuckingRocks · 17/03/2017 08:51

OP, even though I live in a flat also, I have a garden and a patio. If you're not too far away from me...

Deathraystare · 17/03/2017 08:53

Can you not speak to the neibour and let them know you hear the 'music' and would appreciate after a reasonable hour that it is turned down/off. Then go down the council route etc etc.

Deathraystare · 17/03/2017 08:53

Then murder

user1465335180 · 17/03/2017 09:02

Don't murder them, the strain might damage your stitches. Wait until you better then get going with the mental torture. Let them see you dig a big hole in the garden and start carrying a shotgun..
