Mine has been okay for lurking...

SuperRainbows · 05/03/2017 09:59

No problems here

Creatureofthenight · 05/03/2017 10:00

There's a thread in Site Stuff about it, lots of people been having issues (seems a bit better this morning for me?).

rainbowstardrops · 05/03/2017 10:00

I've had problems too. I'd assumed it was my phone because it's on it's last legs but maybe not?

Allthewaves · 05/03/2017 10:00

yes, same happening here

isupposeitsverynice · 05/03/2017 10:00

not just you, I am having trouble too - there's been quite a few threads started in site stuff about it

Peachypeaches · 05/03/2017 10:01

It has been awful the last week or so, mainly if you're using Safari. There's a big thread about it in site stuff. I downloaded the adblocker app yesterday and it's solved the issue for me.

MaroonPencil · 05/03/2017 10:01

Yeah, there seem to be issues with iPad and iPhone. Lots of people complaining about it on the other thread

Welshrainbow · 05/03/2017 10:02

Same for me for last week or so.

womanwithoutasong · 05/03/2017 10:02

Yes, same here. Im using iPhone6 and iPad2. It's been fine on my PC though.

It just sort of freezes while the bottom half of the page remains blank.

ChuckDaffodils · 05/03/2017 10:04

Gave up on the ipad and works fine on the mac.

AuntieStella · 05/03/2017 10:05

The main thread is here:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/2860644-SLOW-Its-so-fucking-slow-now-I-cant-even-get-long-threads-to-load-any-more?

But the TLDR version of that is:

  • all Apple devices seem to be struggling
  • this has been going on for several days
  • rare updates from MNHQ, 36 hour intervals, so no idea what's going on
  • adblocking seems to be the solution (AdBlock Plus being the most frequently recommended app)

(there's about half a dozen other threads in site issues saying roughly the same thing)

WayfaringStranger · 05/03/2017 10:05

Just assumed it was me.

Bluntness100 · 05/03/2017 10:07

I downloaded ad blocker and it's been fine ever since.

MissDemelzaCarne · 05/03/2017 10:08

Please post on this thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/2860644-SLOW-Its-so-fucking-slow-now-I-cant-even-get-long-threads-to-load-any-more

too, if you can. Hmm

Hoping for some updates from MNHQ.

hopefulmumofone · 05/03/2017 10:10

Another vote for Ad blocker, it worked for me. I thought it was my iPad and was going to buy another one today - so happy I read this first!

Glossolalia · 05/03/2017 10:12

I updated the software on my iPhone and the issue stopped for me.

thenorthernluce · 05/03/2017 10:19

I'm having difficulties, too, but only on iPhone.

Writerwannabe83 · 05/03/2017 10:22

I'm on an iPhone and it's been a nightmare for a week. Long threads won't load, screen freezing, not responding to the 'Threads I'm on' button and various other annoying things.

I thought I had problems with my internet connection but I guess not.

Sallystyle · 05/03/2017 10:26

Same here. The pages keep bouncing about when trying to get my my last booked mark page and it keeps telling me the page needs force reloading.

spacefrog35 · 05/03/2017 10:29

As said above- Adblock plus solved the problem for me.

Sallystyle · 05/03/2017 10:31

I completely forgot to install Adblock plus on my new laptop.

Just installed it.

underneaththeash · 05/03/2017 10:40

We had problems on all our apple devices and I too loaded ad block. Not having irritating ads too is a bonus!

Squills · 05/03/2017 10:59

I had same problem on my iPad but all was fine on my iMac. I downloaded ad blocker and all is ok now.
